With the recent fix to Wild Ocelot Baby Spawning, will ocelots become endangered when plugins turn them off?

    Environmental groups may be concerned.

There is an answer on Yahoo that helps to explain why ocelots might be endangered, but it doesn't even mention Minecraft ocelots for some reason - somewhat frustrating:

    Why are ocelots endangered?

However, that answer raises some interesting, yet diabolical, possibilities in my mind. For example, if we kill an ocelot, why don't we get a fur drop? It would be great to be able to make rugs as a solid block equivalent of lily pads, or maybe coats to survive the snow biomes and prevent cold damage, even though there is no cold damage. Also, with enough pelts, it would be fun and even throat-rippingly deadly to have "Jungle Cat Armor" or "Armor of the Ocelot" with extra speed and clawing damage.

Of course, these things would only further contribute to the extinction risk of the fragile and unassuming ocelot and might be frowned upon by MOJANG or environmentalists, much to the chagrin of would-be cat armorists.

    Alas.

Why does no one want to save the creepers!?
j/k but hmm I like the fur drop idea

Sadly, creepers are the green-headed step-children of Minecraft. They are simply just not as cute as ocelots. But, I have heard about illegal mob breeding experiments. One such rumor involves a "Creepalot" creeper-ocelot hybrid - let's just call it an exploding cat, not unlike the Monty Python exploding penguin.

It would be nice if Minecraft had additional generic architectural abstraction for mob design. Head texture, body texture, leg texture, body parts, abilities, shape, etc. Who wouldn't want to milk a flying dragon-cow or see a chicken hover and shoot fireballs?
