    interesting...
is there a way so I can "calculate" the sheep color from X and Y parents?
i still can't get the way this applies to the mendeliam inhertance

    EDIT:
you mean that sheep color XX and sheep color YY can make sheeps color XX, XY, YX and YY?

    ANOTHER EDIT:
Don't you think it will be better if using brightness and contrast? (as seen here:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6c/Dihybrid_cross.png (S stands for brightness and B for contrast))

The XX and YY part was right, as is the picture. Only instead of 1 gene (the XX example) or two genes (like the image), I use 4, to allow every possible sheep color to be bred. The "brightness" and "contrast" are only names of the traits, they don't matter that much (what matters is how they affect the resulting color, which is determined from the table).

I think I got it, however what's the difference between your 4 genes and my 2 genes?
I think it's the same idea (or tell me if i'm wrong). It might be the same idea, however I think that my 2 genes can determine the colors well (but as you said it is not easy in minecraft).
I don't understand java, but i might learn some and i'll try to make something like that :D

If you looked closely at the table in your link, you would see that there are actually 4 different combinations purple, pink, green and blue (I am talking about the colors of the background in the table) - that's why 2 genes aren't enough, they provide 4 combinations, when there are 16 colors.

wuselfuzz: Thank you very much for this quick fix, I am having some trouble dealing with the new event system, and I can't find any documentation at all.

Anyway I just fixed and released the 1.2.3 version without any deprecated methods and with a new experimental feature - you can pick up sheep (use a string on sheep) - requires mendelsheep.pickup. (right-click again to put them down)
