Try replacing your sqlite.jar with: http://lwc.griefcraft.com/sqlite.jar and see if your memory usage goes down to what it should be. It fixed it for me (it's big because it's not official yet and still has every OS' library in it, it will be tomorrow, going to sleep momentarily).
