I've got the same problem. It disconnects you when you log on, and says "Internal Server Error", and gives the same error message everyone else...
Permissions won't let anybody place or destroy blocks. Its like everyone has build set to false, when they aren't. I have 670 and Permissions...
You shouldn't have to kill the process. If you have a console, just type /stop and then close it.
You also seem to have a problem differentiating between "K" and "C" :p
While you are on the server, try /stop.

Well, maybe make a backup of your /world/players folder before you update, to make sure they don't get messed up.
Its not really cheating, since you already earned them. And a cheat-blocking plugin wont stop /give, because its a command, not a cheat.
So, this is a pretty simple idea. When you right click with a certain item, you sit down where you are, as if you where in a boat or a minecart....
Sorry, but this is only possible in a client mod, which bukkit doesn't support yet.
