I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

No matter what, I always get Zero Results.

Nobody has permissions to be hidden, and nothing says it should not be working, but it isn't. It's successfully connected, it has created the tables, but it isn't filling them. I would really love your help because I can't do anything without it. I don't know who not to trust, everyone is friendly, and it's driving me mad.

    Things I've checked:
    Proper connection
    Correct World Names
    Existence of tables in DB
    Possible Permissions loophole
    All the forums

    What could it be?

Hey there, I have been quite impressed of what your plugin can do in videos, but recently i started a server and I tried setting up logblock on it. It all seemed to be fine (mysql, config, etc) but then when i tried to log something it kept saying that no changes had occurred, even though I literally just broke/placed a block. Same problem comes up when i try to roll back - no changes made by the player. Please, please, please help, i can send you all our config and etc.

When a user tries to rollback on LB 1.50, and uses the wrong syntax /lb rollback name since 5d for example, I got a whole mess of errors and everybody disconnects. I assume 1.1 R4 handles errors differently and maybe bukkit is really pissed about the way LB tries to report an error. Quick snippet:

    net.minecraft.server.NetworkListenThread.a(NetworkListenThread.java:78)
^ a ton of errors like this immediately after the below.
    1. 17.02 12:15:22 [Server] INFO at de.diddiz.LogBlock.QueryParams.parseArgs(QueryParams.java:400)
    2. 17.02 12:15:22 [Server] INFO java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Not a valid argument: 'ryuuzoki'

    /lb rollback chestaccess [username] radius3 time 10m

    Smidds

Well first off you need to change the "time" to "since 10m" as for the actual command and all of it's variables... I'd say it'll roll back any chest access? (Lol no really now...) I'm not to familiar with LogBlock's chest abilities soooo... yeah ;)

Someone was working on, but I think he quit ...
And some spout things, as the bukkit block data is a byte.
It rollbacks all chest accessen (in and out) from player username within 3 blocks radius since the last 10 minutes.
Update to dev, it's fixed there.
    Remove the spout jars
That's not correct, MD_5 does far more than I.
At least I'll release an official LB update, there queued up lot's of changes in the dev builds.

What do you think this is?
Did you pay for his plugin, did you pay for his help?
He is doing this out of kind heart and this how you act.

    Maybe he missed your post.
You know he is helping hundreds of other people here.
The world doesn't revolve around you.

You're lucky he provides help at all.
As a matter of fact; he helps more people with his plugin than any other plugin dev I've seen here.

You don't deserve to be helped at all now.
Fix it yourself you inconsiderate prick.
I hate people like you, don't respect anything or anyone.

I may have overlooked your post. Please provide more data, like server.log from a serverstart and when LB stopps, and what command you exactly used.

If you use a hosted minecraft server, you hoster likely provides a MySQL server, otherwise you have to rely on the free mysql servers (db4free.net for example), but these are usually really slow.
If you have root access, install MySQL: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/installing.html
    The questioner is another thing^^
I have an update prepared, but not released yet, will come with next LB version.
    :)
The latest release will fail, but the current dev builds should work, except there will be extraordinary changes.

Hi DiddiZ! First I want to thank you for this amazing plugin :) Your are helping a lot :) Gonna spare some money for donating to you.. :) But when I have connected correct to my Fragnet MySql server I get a SQL Queue and it's getting larger and larger and is not logging any blocks? It works on a local server when there is 2 on but when there is 15 - 20 players mining and placing blocks it can't log it? I don't have any errors in the log..
