    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.
    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.
      • Roll-back tnt, creeper, wither explosions, dragon damage and endermen block-moving.

    set 'max_plots_per_resident' to the max you want them to personally own.
    this is the limit that a person can buy plots in a town.

    hi i have an anying error in game, se i built a public casino and there i put som gold blocks notic i put them in side the town area and someone stolle them not sure how, so i checked the assistans and the moderaters i have non of them did it, then i notic a guy had alot of gold i checked him and he was the one doing it so i caught him and he confessed that it was him and showed me that he could destroy everything. so i wounder how this is possible because he have no perms that allows him to, he is in the lowes group for the players and no one else can do it i checked and apperently he is not hacking so i wounder ?

    The wiki's permission node page shows how you can apply a plot-limit to just your default group using the info node. That or you can apply the limit to everyone on the server with the method dxwarlock described.

    When my members claim a plot they can't build or break there. It just says "This plot is locked!" Any suggestions?

    The problem with this is that this affects the whole server, and not just the starting town. I have the same issue, so I just set the plots per resident to 16, which is a fair number once the town has 300+ plots.

    Not really as much as an issue as I thought it'd be though, because no one wants to settle in the starting town. :(

    Works fine.
    Thsi is the message you get when it is queing up to take a snapshot. If you did a large claim it will take a while to do all the snapshots. Once a snapshot is taken the plot is unlocked.

    I see. Is this supposed to happen a couple days after the plots were claimed? I mean some are coming up as locked now that have been claimed and built on before.
     
  12. ElgarL theres something that drives me mad within towny, the fact that when you enter a [embassy] plot it isnt a capital E!!!! please fix this
     
  13. No a plot should only ever be locked when it's first claimed by the town.
    Find the plots data file in towny/data/townblocks and delete it/edit (it's a text file)

  15. No pm received here. But your bug isn't a bug, nor an exploit.
    You can do that. The town mayor can then also '/plot claim' and take the plot back off you.
    You can also only pvp IN that specific plot, not the whole town.

    Forgive me ElgarL - but I am able to join a town, claim a plot, toggle plot pvp, leave the town and then kill everyone in that town on any plot including any plot with pvp off or unclaimed plot with pvp off and homeblock.

    I have experienced this bug as well. I was mayor of the town, tried to claim the plot, toggle plot pvp, and toggle town pvp. After someone exploited this bug, the whole town became pvp, even on non-pvp plots.
     
  18. As we explained in IRC a few times, we tested this on the Dev build and it can no longer be done. I'm not saying it doesn't exist in the release 0.78.0.0, but it no longer exists in dev.

    But thank you for the report.

    i got a question is there a away to make a command that a player joins a town so when a mayor or assistant aren't online? and how to change the unowned i already renamed in a file but doesn't work.

    hey there,

    first of all awesome plugin! I am currenty setting it up on my server and created a town. But I got an

    Issue:
    after I played around a little and created a town I wanted to change the config. I did several changes as I needed them and used "/townyadmin reload" to reload it. Everything works fine except loading the new townblock limit. It stays. Which is quite unfortunate since I reduced the town levels and therefore increased and decreased the twonblocklimit quite a bit. I am not getting an error and quite much everything else is getting loaded.

    Any idea?

    EDIT.: OMG. So fuking stupid. Sorry for that useless comment, just found out that that ratio-var is used when set. Confusing. =(

    My First Issue
    I could add resident for my claim but my residents gettin this error: "Owner doesn't allow to friends destroy here".

    I checked residents's config:
    protectionStatus=residentBuild,residentDestroy,residentSwitch,residentItemUse,outsiderItemUse

    What can i do? :/

    What is plot-block-data and how can i read it or edit it? Can i delete, is it neccesery? Thanks

    Just so every server admin understands. Current release link has a huge pvp exploit.

    If you are using 78.0.0 a resident is able to turn on pvp in towns and kill all residents no matter what your towny mayor pvp settings are and it is unable to be fixed unless you upgrade to "dev". (good luck with that if you use spout)

    it does? for some reason like half my economy plugins throw errors when i use register :(
