Hey guys.. i was on a server earlier today who ran a plugin called kCTF... it had it so there was RED / BLUE nameplates based on the team you were in. this was done without using spout. I run a faction server that has 2 factions only... in a prebuilt terrian for them to fight in. The teams on my server is RED vs BLUE ... and we would love to have to red / blue nameplates to go along with it, without having to use spout. So i guess thats what im looking for, its cool if the colored nameplates dont work through factions, and we would have to add peoples names in manually? I really have no clue when it comes to coding, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
If it's magically possible despite giant amounts of exact reasons why it's not possible Could you please show us all how it's done so that we can all eat cookies? It's not possible YET because of the bizarre way minecraft is coded. im sure there will be a giant danceparty/flash mob/celebrity twitter when this feature becomes available.
Actually it's not exactly nine months if someone already posted in it at April,8,2012, so your answer is invalid. <: don't mess. you need Nametags, also EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
This is odd, because when I decompiled the client for modding purposes (MCP), the player's username is stripped of control codes (does this not include colour codes?) before it downloads the image from the skin server.
