Tbh, I haven't touched it recently except for deleting spam. I think it's ready, unless you have suggestions for it.

BTW... I disabled registrations entirely. You can only register with your bukkit username/password. (Login via bukkit)

Hi i really need urgent help with the permissions file, is there anything wrong with this config file, because player names and colours don't work, and neither do the commandbin commands. Oh and how do i get the config file to you....
    Thanks and Kind regards:

We're planning on having users being able to use a plugin that @tyzoid has developed and submit tickets which will automatically be linked and posted to the forum, so it cuts down on the step where they have to describe their problem

    hammale

o cool, is it using sql or something? How are you gonna prevent XYZ user from spamming u like crazy?

  9. Offline

    tyzoid

    @hammale
I haven't really started it much, mostly like copying over template code.
I'd probably go about it so XYZ server can only submit one bug every 12 hours.

My current plan is that it would send to a separate ticket system, where said user could link the ticket ID submitted through the game into the post, thus saving time both for the users (Who don't have to collect the information) and us (who don't have to keep asking for it)

    Btw hammale...
The forum I am working on is located here

    On a side note:
Are you familiar with network connections in java? I haven't used them before.

Hi everyone, i am asking about mob spawners.

    My question goes like this:

I have a Bukkit MineCraft 1.0.0 server. I have seen many videos made by the yogscast and i have noticed that they have mob spawners that spawn zombies, spiders etc...

Now, my spawners only seem to spawn pigs.

How do i get like a skeleton, zombie or spider spawner?

well i wrote a plugin that used mysql (inserting and reading) if thats what you mean :) i'd be willing to give u code/write some if needed. If you use a sql database you could also store teh submitted date and run a check on that to make sure XYZ isn't being a naughty spammer. And its REAL easy using PHP to get data out of a database and into an email/post/some form of message. EDIT: looks like ur running phpBB myBB on the forum which is GREAT (at least phpBB is)! I imagine you are using either mysql/sqlite/mssql already for the forum! A simple little php app could easily bring data from the DB into a forum post (yup i know php+sql too) :) lemme know if you need a hand!

i personaly use SpawnMob's /mspawn <mobname> but i think I read WorldEdit has a way to do it to...EDIT: and i think the author of SpawnMob even has a pre-release for 1.0 builds :) o on a side note friendly mobs need lite to spawn and need to be on grass (i think) while enemy mobs need to be in darkness.

    @hammale
That looks instead like a plugin incompatibility.
Try to remove some plugins to try and determine the cause.

    Also, @hammale
My code allows you to login via bukkit, because it connects to the bukkit login page, and uses the credentials you input into the box. If my script deems that the your bukkit login was correct, it will register you on the forum. (The connection to bukkit is the long delay when you first logged in)

My script doesn't save any passwords (It hashes it in the login database for future logins)... however, it would be easy to do. This is also a proof-of-concept of a method that can be used for wrong.

One more note, I have not patched my script for brute force (there is a specific method to do this) so brute forcing passwords on bukkit doesn't work (It gives me a too-many login attempts error if someone spams it with bad logins)

If any admins see this message, feel free to PM me, and I'll give you more specifics (code) on how I was able to do this.

i opened up a thread, but i guess ima show my problem here.

in my 2 nethers (one pre 1.8, and a brand new)
seem to be no Ghasts.... but every other mob.

before 1.0.0 we hat ghasts... but no wolves.
now we have wolves again, and no ghasts xD
all mobs and animals are set to true in MV config. :(

EDIT: and /spawnmob says: "Error: unable to spawn mob"

an my nether npcs now drop exp, execpt of lava slimes.

Sorry I must have missed it.

By ranks you mean something like Player, Mod, and Admin?
These should be your groups in permissionsEx.

    Code:
    users:
        tyzoid:
            group: admin
            permissions:
            - permissions.*
    groups:
        player:
            default: true
            permissions:
            - foo.bar
        mod:
            inheritance:
            - player
            permissions:
            - foo.bar2
        admins:
            inheritance:
            - mod
            permissions:
            - '*'
    worlds:
        nether:
            inheritance:
            - world

    Hello,

Whenever i use a command or go AFK on my server, I get these weird letters/numbers in my messages:
I assume that the letters/numbers with question marks infront of them are color codes.

    How do I fix this?

    Edit:
    JAR: Bukkit 1.0.0
    Plugins: AdminCMD, WorldEdit, WorldGuard, PermissionsEX
