    The Werewolf is the werewolf plug-in created to bring you the ultimate werewolf experience!


    It’s ideas are based of various myths/legends and and our personal ideas about how the plug-in should function.

    If you have any suggestions for the plug-in or need help, please tell us in the comments! We (Firemars and me) are a dedicated team and will try to read and answer every single one!

    RPGOverhead v1.0 is required for the latest version! This plugin will ensure compatibility with as many other RPG-style plugins as possible. It can be downloaded here.

    We recommend that you also download both the Spout.jar for your server and use the SpoutCraft client so you can enjoy the full Werewolf experience!


    The Werewolf features:

    Almost every feature is customisable in the config file! All the features named here are the default settings.

    Mechanics:
    • To become a Werewolf, you have to get bitten (attacked) by a wolf or Werewolf at night and contract the Wolven-infection (small chance). This infection turns the Human into a Werewolf when they step outside the next night. It can be stopped by staying inside the night after contracting the infection.
    • A Werewolf automatically turns into his Wolf-form at night.
    • A Werewolf can sprint in Wolf-form by using the shift-key.
    • A Werewolf cannot wield weapons (low damage) while in Wolf-form, but does high unarmed damage!
    • A Werewolf cannot wield Armor while in Wolf-form, but has a high natural defense! When turning in a Werewolf, the player drops his armor.
    • When in wolf-form, all wolves are friendly (unless another Werewolf controls them).
    • Prevents your wolves from being damaged while you are offline.
    • Werewolves are very vulnerable to “Silver” (Iron) weapons.
    • A recipe creates an item that cures Werewolves and turns them back into humans, when using the item, there is a 1/4th chance the user is cured. There is no way of telling wether the user is actually cured until the next night.

    Permissions:

    • thewerewolf.togglewerewolf..............allow toggling of werewolf status
    • thewerewolf.toggleself.......................allow players to toggle their own wolf status
    • thewerewolf.infectwerewolf...............allow infecting players by command
    • thewerewolf.infectself........................allow players to infect themselves
    • thewerewolf.cure...............................allow players to use the cure
    • thewerewolf.infectother.....................allow players to infect other players by hitting
    • thewerewolf.becomeinfected............allow players to become infected by hitting
    • thewerewolf.thewerewolf...................allow players to enable/disable the plugin
    Commands:


    Toggle Werewolfism.................................../togglewerewolf [PLAYERNAME]
    Toggle Werewolfism on yourself................/togglewolfself
    Infect player with Werewolfism.................../infectwerewolf [PLAYERNAME]
    Infect yourself with Werewolfism................/infectwolfself
    Toggle plugins on/off state........................../thewerewolf


    Configuration:

    Look in the %server%/plugins/TheWerewolf/config.yml file for these options. I only describe the more important/harder to understand options here.
    • Modifiers.Night.Resolution changes the update cycle speed. Slower servers should insert higher numbers
    • Modifiers.Hardcore, hardcore mode makes werewolfs drop their items and disables them to talk properly
    • Files.Skin for a custom skin file
    • Files.Howl for a custom howl noise (when turning into a werewolf)
    • Disallowed.Items Insert any number of comma separated (spaces are ignored) item materials or id's here. Werewolfs can't use these items in any way.
    • Multiplied.Weapons are the weapons which do extra damage to a werewolf
    • Recipe.Materials for a custom recipe, again item name or item id, or null if spot should be skipped (going from topleft corner to the right, then the next line etc.)
    • Recipe.Result for a custom cure item
    Possible Future Features:

    • Customizeable per-player/per-group skins
    • When transforming to and from Wolf-form, the characters emits particles (similar to those of a Nether-portal).
    • Instead of damage prevention, despawn wolves while you are offline.
    • Whole new achievement screen with custom achievements.
    • Abitilies:
      • Growl - Stuns nearby hostile creatures
    • Anything else you submit!

    I put the plugin and such but now when im in game and i do /togglewolfself it says "an internal error occured while attempting to perform this command"

    1.0 or more should be a definite infection.

    Well, my library atm just checks which player is a certain RPG-type and makes the players transform to and from those types. It really doesn't do that much.
    But I'd like to add some default RPG systems in the future, so it will actually be usefull for other programmers. If you have anything you'd like to add, you can always ask me ;).
    You can also get the source code if you want and maybe even try to improve it/add extra functionality, or if you want help with starting a new project I'd be happy to check your code/tackle the harder problems. It's always interesting to see how other people deal with their problems :p

    could you please post the full error log in a pastie.org document? Your current description doesn't really say anything .

    Alright well, when spout updates to 1.8 (with the client-mod api) I want to try and make an MP mod, (click my siggy), iv never used java nor has the other person who wants to help, so it's gunna be interesting... xD, I could probably use some tips? :3

    Werewolves can be cited for their healing properties too, so would it be possible to add a health regen function to this too? Something along the lines of healing a configurable amount of health per second after spending a configurable amount of time out of combat? Or possibly start healing when not targeted/near hostile mobs. This might help solve the fall damage issue until you can just disable that type of damage.

    Dude to fix the sound and skin download spoutcraft. Its an alternative minecraft launcher. Just download it and open it as if it was a minecraft launcher, sign in, go on your server, and it will work automatically.

    Is there a way to disable fall damage on the wolves because people on my server are getting annoyed when they jump they seem to hurt themselves... I tried to put in the Disallowed area under Damage, FALL and FALLING both were invalid. Any help would be appreciated.

    Ok, I need help.
    I have this vampire plugin and I really want werewolfs to so they can fight xD..
    But wont work When I put it in it just wont simply create a map file.... I have tried to make it with out any plugins at all exept spout and that other spout thing.. Please help me I really want this :(

    Hi, it didn't work for me, on the Start batch file it come up with "Could not load plugins \TheWerewolf.jar in folder plugins.

    What do i have to do?

    Tried to install this on a server, and when the time came, nothing happened. None of the functions of the plugin do a thing besides manually infecting with a command, and that doesn't have any result at night...

    Any advice? I'll grab the error in the log if needed. I was trying to get supernatural players as an alt, but it's outdated.

    We got this working by adding spout. The problem is, without spout there's no way to tell whether you've transformed without moving. x_x Great plugin though!

    this looks like a awesome plugin but i cant get it to work the plugin installed no problem but no one can turn into a werewolf and when i try it by command nothing happens but does not say unknown command

    Would you be able to implement a configurable mode where:
    1. The werewolf's hunger bar runs down as quickly as if they were a regular player that was constantly sprinting so they would have to eat more?
    2. When the werewolf (or his pack) kills another player, his hunger and health bars fill?
    3. Fall damage on/off setting.

    I would love to see features like that.

    Sorry I didn't put this on the Dev page, when I try to sign in/create new account, it won't let me. If anyone could post this request on the Dev, I'd appreciate it.

    hey heres a bug i found .
    so basicly it the plugin didnt turn into a folder , and while using craftbukkit , that means it doesnt work at all .

    I have a spam issue that causes lag i know you dont need spout i use it but some people on my server dont and it says couldnt pass event player skin change no problem but the thing that causes lag is cant cause player event move to werewolf so yea.... D:
