    SoundCenter - Music, Sounds and Voice Chat for your Server!

    Version: v0.1

    CustomMusic is back! Now as SoundCenter!

    SoundCenter (formerly CustomMusic) allows you to set music boxes or regions that stream your own music, sound effects or webradio to all players in realtime.
    It also implements a simple voice chat for Minecraft.
    In the future SoundCenter will add a lot of cool audio features to minecraft, such as sound effects on events.

    To give you a very little idea of what it does (video is not up-to-date):

    More info on:

    or on BukkitDev

    Features:
    • You can set imaginary jukeboxes, cuboid areas or worlds and biomes as music stations
    • Stations can either play your own music or sound effects, or webradio streams
    • You can also play music globally on the whole server
    • You can upload your own music files easily via the SoundCenter client
    • Supported audio formats: mp3, midi, ogg (for webradio only)
    • Everything is easily and intuitively managable with the clients user interface
    • Every feature is configurable and you can limit access with permissions
    Extra Features:
    • Voice chat
      • SoundCenter adds a simple voice chat to your Bukkit server
      • You can speak locally (only players that are not far from you can hear you. Volume depends on their distance)
      • But you can also speak globally (The whole server can hear you)
      • You can disable voice chat on your server if you don't like this feature
    • many more to come
    How does it work?

    Okay so I have SoundCenter installed on my server, what to do now?
    It's easy: Login to your server. If you are not running the client yet, you will see a message with a link to www.sound-center.com. If you follow this link, the SoundCenter client will load and automatically fill in the required information to connect to your server.
    Press connect - now you can add and upload your songs in the "Music" tab, or add biomes or worlds to your stations. If you want to set boxes and areas, you can do this ingame via /sc set <area|box>. That's easier, because the box will be created at your coordinates.
    You can edit all properties of your stations by pressing the "Edit Station" button in the "Stations" tab.

    For detailed instructions on how to install or use the commands visit the HOW TO USE section on BukkitDev.

    you have areas, and boxes, and you can play music globally, but what i think it also needs is the option to play different songs (or playlists) between different worlds. like /cm setworld <existingworldname> and /cm wchoose [songnumbers]

    spoooooouuuuuuut?

    is it possible for this mod to be programmed so that music can play in specific regions? that would give it a nice touch :D

    @Blamo27
    It's something with your permissions plugin. Which permissions plugin do you use?
    I suggest that you use BukkitPermissions, PermissionsEx or GroupManager

    @Brice47 don't use capitel letters in the folder name. Put your soungs into the directory "Music/craftplayer{name=brice47}/" in the same directory as your audioclient)

    @Diagonalspoon
    Thanks :D
    I will add it to the op.

    @DarkZeR0
    Don't put the audioclient into your plugins folder.
    You do not need to run it on your server. Put it anywhere else on your pc and run it.
    If it won't run create a .bat file with
    Code:
    "java -jar CM_AudioClient_v0.8c.jar"
    pause
    and see what it says.

    @KevinToday @darkadders
    Biome- and world-specific songs/playlists are possible and are on the todo list.
    Spout is not.

    How do we make the players hear my music i put Globally but they cant hear...
    And how do i give them songs how can i know there ip or what port they use.

    @DarkZeR0
    They all need to run the audioclient.
    You don't need to know their ip. Everyone needs to enter the ip of the minecraft server and the port of custommusic, which you have specified in cm.properties. The songs will be shared automatically.

    You did a awesome job in the GUI!
    I love it!
    I thought the old way of using it was clumsy.

    EDIT:
    You should add a feature to have a set of songs to play globally all the time, like a "server radio"

    Thanks, i'm glad you like it :)
    With 0.9 you will be able to play repeating playlists world-wide ( like with boxes or areas).

    @Nicolascoolguy6
    Which volume is 7? You can change the volume up to 500 with "/cm volume <value>".
    If you are talking about the priority, choose 10 for the highest and the volume won't be lowered if there is another song playing, except when you play a song with /cm (g)play.

    Is this a bad system and I do not know how to?!
    It would be nice that there would be no Nick added, and immediately joined the new player just to play the server and play music!
    Can you do yes? :)
    Because it is now very bad...

    Sorry but i don't really understand your post.

    You don't need to add any nicknames to whatever.
    Everyone who runs the audioclient will hear the music.

    This looks awesome, could you possibly make a spout version though so users don't have to download your client?
    Would be great! :D

    Thanks.
    Couldn't you make a version where you can't upload music and can only use the web radio file types? :D I don't think many people let others upload music to the server anyway..... and I only want the web radio XD

    WegFetZ

    @godgodgodgo
    Most webradio streams are in 'mp3', 'aac+' or 'ac3' format.
    Spout can only play 'wav' and 'ogg'.
    However there are some stations that have 'ogg' streams so it may be possible to play them with spout, but for me it's not worth the effort.
    Maybe it's already possible with something like BCMusic, idk.

    @DarkZeR0
    You can tell them where to get it with the Init-Failed-Msg for example.
    I think they will find out how to run it.
