What folder is your server in? What is the name of your world? Is it at D:\World? Or, is it something else? For example, my world is Sosaria, and my server is located at D:\mc_server. I would type "java -jar Chunkster.jar useless_parameter D:\mc_server\Sosaria", or, using the copy I posted earlier, "java -jar Chunkster.jar D:\mc_server\Sosaria".

Also, if there are any spaces in the folders' names, make sure to put quotes around them. For example, if the server were at "Minecraft Server", rather than mc_server, I would use

    Code:
    java -jar Chunkster.jar "D:\Minecraft Server\Sosaria"
    or
    Code:
java -jar Chunkster.jar "D:\mc_server\Sosaria with spaces
My copy can be found <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>

It's not working for me, it just says:
    Code:
chunkster: region pointer repair utility v0.1
    usage: java -jar Chunkster.jar <world directorory>
When I use it like this:
    Code:
    java -jar Chunkster.jar "C:\Users\Danny\AppData\Roaming\.craftbukkit\world"

You using the jar from the first post, or mine? My version is supposed to fix this very problem. It expects TWO parameters, and only looks at the second one, and ignores the first one.

To get it to work with the version from the first post, you have to use it like this:
    Code:
    java -jar Chunkster.jar put_whatever_you_want_here_it_gets_ignored "C:\Users\Danny\AppData\Roaming\.craftbukkit\world"

    o ok, i used
    Code:
    java -jar Chunkster.jar "C:\Users\Danny\AppData\Roaming\.craftbukkit\world" world

Which worked for, but now I understand why. :p

The program can't find any error and MCEdit crashes when I try to go to the fucked up area.. Is there any way to find out which version of the map it is? It was created like may this year.

I played with WorldEdit and a friend of mine placed like 9000 TNTs' and that made it crash.. hard :)

I made a map with Cartographer.. A chunk is messed up for real :)

If you dont use Windows, ignore this post :)

You probably need to run cmd in "Administrator mode". You can do that by Pressing Start menu -> All programs -> Accessories ( i think)

There you should find "Command prompt". Just right click on it and then "Run as administrator".

First of all: I want to thank you so much for this tool!
Yesterday I have tried it for the first time as the server.log was getting 1Mb per nearly 3minutes. I could manage to minimize those messages.

Secondly: I would like to have assistance as today the same Chunk can back to the server.log, but now not overwhelming (yet).
The server.log is showing this Chunk with :

    Code:
[Chunkster] Bad chunk pointer found! expected chunk at [x=-14 z=51] got [x=-14 z
    =50]
[Chunkster] Chunk pointer for [x=-14 z=50] was incorrect, fixing.
[Chunkster] Setting bad chunk pointer to null (it should regenerate a new chunk
    in its place).
    How can I fix this?
    a) Digging the Chunk? (Chunk is 16x16 and 128blocks deep?)
    b) Use MCedit? (but can you give MCedit location to delete Chunk (-14,50 /-14 51' ?)

    With respect,

You're using Xeon's jar, so you need to add a dummy parameter to the java command. Instead of, for example,
    Code:
    java -jar Chunkster.jar C:\World
    you need to use
    Code:
    java -jar Chunkster.jar fake_parameter C:\World
since Xeon's .jar has actually looks for TWO parameters, and ignores the first one.

That, or you could download my version, I changed the part that handles the parameter, so the usage instructions make sense. I didn't make any other changes. It's over <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>

running cmd in administrator mode. Have the chunkster.jar file in my server folder. get the message back, "Unable to access jar file Chunkster.jar"

Earlier it was suggested i put it in the "main" folder. Whatever that means.

Note: I've been running the server thru a remote console since it's birth. I'm trying to use chunkster on a world that has not been run on my own computer, and i now have server software soley for this purpose. I cannot start the world itself thru minecraft_server.exe, it just steadily increases in mem and cannot "prepare spawn area" past 0%.

Any information on simply getting chunkster to "go" will help.

Win7 32bits and this works for me.
I have made a bat file, which is blocked to upload it. But the content is this:

    Chunk.bat (screenshot)
    Code:
    java -jar Chunkster.jar "[B]C:\Install\Games\Minecraft\Testserver Minecraft\Minecraft\Okt\09\Minecraft\Scranton[/B]"
    pause

You see that Chunkster is now set to repair our wold called "Scranton".
I attached a screenshot and hopefully it works for you and other people.
Just change the path of what is yours and the World name.

Ps: I extracted of Chunkster zip file in the main folder. And I just have to run that bat file.

Ps2: Is the plugin Dev. of Chunkster still active?

This fixed my map, but now everything is colored brown as if it's in the desert biome. :(

  22. I'm having problems again, and now I know why.
While the server was running, the computer shut off, which causes the server not being able to run, ( the spawn-point was somehow lost, I used MCedit to fix this)
this happened again, But after a while It somehow started working again!
I hope this happens again :p

GUYS PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ REPLY TO THIS PROBLEM IVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!!

I followed all the steps in all the tutorials from fixing it with batch files to locating it and fixing it with commands.

By following it up via commands it will say "java is not recognized as an internal and external command"; i know that this means the path to java is not correct but i have double even triple checked and the path is 100% right.

By doing it with a batch file it says:
