You mentioned that scrambling is bad due to big packet sizes.... so why don't you create rows of different ore ?
It should be somewhat smaller then =)

I think you might have a corrupt world. Can you test by creating a new world temporarely? (And disable the old world, make sure to back it up)

Then it somewhat reduces the strength of the plugin against cheaters. it's your choice.

    Raycrash

how that ? if it would be just minimal....if they want to filter out certain rows they might miss the ore alltogether...

Engine 1 works 0% xD any ore is visible in engine 1 .. :( radius is set to 2 and fake ores on cliffs or notch's mines are there because u dont "mine in" ... in any cave or dungeons fakeores exist ... :()

    1. check if you have op or have perms.
    2. no I don't mine in, i replace inside-out

Well...I'll think about it, but not sure much improvement will be done. Even if there are stone vs random ore, the bandwidth change in zipping/compressing them is still not that much.

No. this plugin only replace stone or ore with other ore.(unless you changed the default config)
this plugin only replaces blocks that are NOT next to transparent blocks, such as Air, torch, etc.
Which means... You shouldn't be seeing any fake ore, unless you lag alot.

You must be having a faulty config... Delete it, reload the server.

    Thank you for the image.
    I will further investigate.
BTW, is it only occurring at junctions of chunks?

Looks like it, but I'm not entirely sure

Yeah, getting the same thing on my map as well. Running 0.9.6 on #1185 and I let the config file regen. I'll investigate this only at the border of chunks hypothesis.

EDIT: I guess I should add that all you have to do is punch it once or place a torch next to it and they return back to normal stone. I just tell my players that if you see a diamond where you normally woundn't see one, it's just the server trolling. :)

Just downloaded it, will test it right now and report back. Thanks for the speedy update.

Edit: Nope sorry... It actually made it worse. :) Now mossy cobble and planks show up too. I'm attaching a screenie.

Haha, I added it to hide dungeons and mining shafts.

I might have to review my coding tonight to fix, sorry
meanwhile, can you check the performance changes between this and 0.9.6?
see if it got better or worse.

    Thanks!

Also, you can remove it in your config. (wood 5 and mossy cobble 48 in RandomBlocks)

Just wanted to point it, I reverted back to 0.9.3 and we don't have this problem. I think I'll stay on this version until you get the newer ones sorted out. Thanks.

0.9.3 doesn't have the issue with fake ores? Link please :)

Hey there, love the plugin. I have a problem with it though, it seems that randomly, whenever entering a select few chunks the client gets a HUGE lag spike, going from 80+ to 0. I've tested with and without this plugin. It only seems to happen when using this plugin. This was happening with version 0.9.6

but i think 0.9.5 also dosent have the problem

    1. Randomly?
    2. Only lag at the client side?
    3. Send me world/let me join server later?

    1. Mostly randomly, though is recurring at a few chunks.
    2. Yes, only lag on client side.
    3. I can do either or both, whichever you would prefer.

I'm actually having the same issue, and it seems repeatable when someone knocks out a torch. When they do, some of the cobblestone nearby turn to random ores (fake of course) and if they place a torch back down, it all goes back to normal. Tried setting the DarknessHideBlocks to false and other various ideas with no fix. Aside from that, very nice plug-in.

0.9.7 FIX ALL YOUR PROBLEMS, Except the client lag on certain chunks one that i'm still investigating.
