    Unless I am wrong, it is possible for you to merge SpoutCraft and Minecraft Forge. All you have to do to make a mod Forge compatible is to copy and paste all of the hooks from the forge source into the modified basefiles a mod is using. That 5-minute task per basefile could be done with this mod.

    You're using experimental build of CB. Update to the development builds of Spout.

    Or read the title. RB's only support the latest CB RB. :p

    You are on a dev build of CB but not the latest dev build of Spout. This error has been fixed I believe.

    I'm having the same problems as Lanphrost, I ran around testing stuff as much as I could think of using build 449, 483 and then the auto-updater, these are the main problems I'm having regardless of the build version:

    -all plants won't grow unless given bonemeal
    -farmland won't absorb nearby water
    -leaves aren't decaying at all
    -passive mobs only spawn during a new map generation, after that no more will spawn
    -hostile mobs will only spawn from spawners and sleeping in a bed in a dark area (I checked to make sure the difficulty wasn't on peaceful too)

    I also ran out into the nether to see if anything behaved differently. For some reason the nether is spawning ghasts and zombie pigmen normally.

    Hmmm... Not sure what it could be, wheether it's a Java thing or connection. Either way it always seems to freeze during the download for the minecraft.jar, and if I'm luckt and gets past that, it freezes again at the lwjgl.jar.

    Here is the ping results...

    Unknown. I went up on my roof, my dish is still getting 3 bars out of 4 of signal. Which is very very good for a 4 mile long signal.
    This might explain it. I think s3.amazonaws.com (the server minecraft uses for it's files) sucks. So this may be why the files fail all the time. It's been a long time issue, maybe notch is being cheap and using the redundant servers instead of the main servers for his files.
     
  14. Are you running any plugins that affect the flow of time on that world? Like a time locking plugin? Those are known to rape the scheduler.
     
  15. I've actually just encountered this problem on a SSP game I started. No server required.

    There is an option to freeze time in the menu, did you use that by mistake?

    Just because you get good bars and coverage, doesn't mean you can't have interference and packet loss. I've had no issues with Amazon's EC2 or S3 services and I use them myself.

    I tried using all three different time settings to see if it would affect monster spawning, it didn't work

    Same thing happens on this comp as well. Thing is normal updates fine, and the other comps can download it, and those all have more firewall than this.
    Copying the .spoutcraft works, long as you can find someone to give you theirs.

    I dont know why but it seems build 449 has some type of memory leak cause I run out of memory after a few minutes... but when I used the dev build I wasnt getting kicked ... so I assume this will be fixed with a new release..

    Love spout, just got one question... is there any way you could get Rei's Minimap mod included and have a setting for the server that allows it/disallows it so people can have it on only if the server allows it?

    Its important and I have no idea why its doing it as I am using the recommend versions of CB and Spout.

    I'm guessing it may be a compatibility issue or something but it does it on my test server as well that is clean. Its quite odd and I am not sure if it is just me or not. Thanks for your time, I noticed you were online so I quickly posted this, I have to go pick the wife up now but if you are still in when I return maybe we could try work it out on my test server.
