A new CraftBukkit Recommended Build (#1185) with Minecraft 1.8.1 support is now available. Along with support for Minecraft 1.8.1, this new build contains several new API additions and some bugfixes. Please note: for those of you who are considering generating a new world for Minecraft 1.8, please remember that you will likely have to do the same for Minecraft 1.9.

Will plugins break with this build?
Provided the developers of the plugins you are using are keeping up with the development of Bukkit, all your plugins should work fine.

For more detailed information on what is contained in this update, please see the Recommended Build announcement thread here:

I am experiencing some issues with this build.
I am getting the error about bukkit beeing sad and not allowing me to use that command, even though I'm op.
But I fixed this by installing permissionsEx - wich isn't updated to the RB but still works.

Why is Build 1157 so fast and the Recommend Build Ultra Slow (laggy) ? -.-**

My Server is with RB 1185 Ultra Laggy by 10 Players and can change 2.000.000 Blocks with Worldedit by over 5 Min Read Time Out and by Build 1157 No Lag with 50 Players Online. Change 2.000.000 Blocks 1-2 seconds.

    ( 32 GB RAM Server )

Real thanks for this version. I used the latest staple Build of 1.8-bukkit before on our Nitrado-Server, but now with the recommended Build it's finally fully supported!

Using my new (developer) version of AS crashes the client when dropping leaves recursivly. My surrounding disappears and I can just see the skybox and can't move the char or the cam ... Some seconds later ... Minecraft has a black screen.
F11 still works for getting the mouse out of it. What is wrong ?
