I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

Hello, i am having problems with logblock. I installed it recently, following every instruction of the English installation video, yet logblock seems to not be logging anything. When i use /lb area <*> it always says no changes, although i have changed several blocks in the area and am standing next to one of them. Using the tool does not do anything at all, nothing appears, even if i type /lb tool on, /lb tool area <*> and so on, i have no idea what i did wrong. I'm not sure if its because of the config file, because most things are unchanged (except the mysql data, which is filled in correctly). I have looked on google for solutions, but nothing related to my problem shows up.
I use WAMPSERVER. Everything works fine, exepct the logging, so typing /lb, lb params, /lb commands does make a menu appear, but nothing gets logged. I have installed the permission plugin and have all permissions. I have installed several other mods flawlessly (except lwc, it give me an error : internal error blah blah blah: PLAYER_INTERACT. i have uninstalled it..). Please help with this issue if you can, im looking forward to having this on my server.

EX : Block changes withing 100 blocks of you in world:
No results found. (im in a box i made)

    Try "/lb savequeue"
If the changes show up then, disable useBukkitScheduler.

    I have a problem...
When I start my server it freezes while trying to download the connector and the worldedit.jar for the lib folder. I then downloaded the connector manually, but it still can't download the worldedit.jar, and refuses to work without it. Does anyone know either how to fix this, or where I can find a download?

where should the changes show up? Nothing shows up ingame and my bukkit (i do not know if this is usual) only opens up a cmd window, in which nothing appears if i use plugin commands, such as /lb savequeue, /lb area <*> or anything else, including for other plugins. Just for the fun of it i disabled useBukkitScheduler, still nothing. Im going to undo that just in case. I must warn you I am only 13, but i know more than just how to operate a pc, i fix them.

Doesn't sounds like your bukkit runs properly.
With "show up" i meant using ingame commands, like "/lb area 100000"

thanks for your time. It was bukkit, it had a faulty install, i used the autoinstaller because i was feeling lazy, I removed it and installed it manually, it works fine.

Ok thank you. I read the FAQ extensively before posting. I messed with the settings a bit. They work after a while then I get spammed. I wasn't actually sure what to tweak it to so I joined your irc #logblock. I sat in there for 10hours without a single response. So I will try a bit more. But I added you on skype if I keep having problems could you take 2mins of your time someday to help me sort it out quickly.

Okay, before I had to delete my server LogBlock worked perfectly, now that I have recreated my server, made the database, created the user, and defined it all in the config this is what I get.

EDIT: Problem Solved, just had to do some tinkering.

Only if it takes also 10 seconds when you type /lb.

It doesn't - however, is it possible that LogBLock is checking to see if there's a newer version? Both test and live take 10+ seconds to get past LogBlock and start up completely.

When I remove logblock and restart, it is instantly.

Version checking is also done when you type /lb. (the "Your version is up to date" or a "There is a newer version").
Hm ... local mysql server i guess?
Bukkit provided no block type. This sometimes happens. When it happens constantly, check plugins/logblock/error/blocklistener.txt.

We are using the mysql server for LWC and Ico as well, both these remain in without any issue. We also have it set to only 7 days of history... I don't see a reason why it would be failing from Mysql.
