    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More
    Current Version: 2.2-AB

    Description
Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    • Updated for iConomy 5 (You will need to update to iCo 5)
    • Improved the PVP Setup

    Version 1.6.3

    Version 1.6.2

    • Contains updates/features which were introduced in 1.5

    Version 1.5 - Permissions 2.1+ - (V1.5 - 02/03/2011)[/U]

    • Fixed whitelist/blacklisting once and for all :), thanks to @ledhead900
    • Add permission node 'multiverse.portal.exempt' -- Basically means they don't have to pay the cost of the portal... this is useful for Donors and such.
    • Updated to use iConomy 4.1 -- Would be great if I can get feedback on this... as usual I can only test solo.
    Version 1.4 - Permissions 2.0 & 2.1 - (V1.4 - 26/02/2011 - 01:11 AM GMT)

    • Should be easier on high pop servers now
      • Only checks if a player is within a Portal everytime he changes BLOCK Coordinate instead of every single pixel footstep he/she takes.
    • Now Supports Permissions 2.1 -- Both 2.1 and 2.0 support have seperate JARs, so get the right one.
      • Also commands are properly disabled when a Permissions plugin is not found and it will alert the player trying to use the Command.
    Version 1.3 - Permissions 2.0 - (V1.3 - 24/02/2011 - 02:31 AM GMT)

    • Removed the 'Stupidly Long Constructor'
    • Fixed an error which was loading portals that were on a non existent world which caused errors later on.
    Version 1.2.2 - (V1.2.2 - 23/02/2011 - 03:05 AM GMT)

    • Nothing much just updated so it works with Minecraft Beta 1.3, I suggest you don't use a lower Multiverse build than v1.2.2 otherwise it won't work and errors will occur.
    Version 1.2.1 - (V1.2.1 - 20/02/2011 - 23:35 PM GMT)

    • Changed over to the new Entity Damage...

Updated MultiVerse to 1.1 and Essentials to the latest dev build but /mvtp still is teleporting to the original spawn. However, portal seems to be going to the right place :D

    It's definately coming :)

A combination of things resulted in this not being implemented tonight... after last nights release and it having so many bugs and so many changes... I decided to go easy on this update... on top of that I just ended up running out of time, its 5:50 AM here, so I'm gonna get some sleep then work on it all tomorrow :).
    --- merged: Feb 15, 2011 5:51 AM ---
You did /mvsetspawn right???? If so I'll take a look into it, it may of just been a small oversight by me.

    Dharkk

Yep, sure did. I'll retest it right now and update the post.

    -EDIT-

/mvsetspawn in the nether, stepped back through to the normal world and /mvtp'ed to the nether.. got put at the original spawn and not where I typed /mvsetspawn

Sure its not relating to this known issue???

Using the command /mvtp WORLD from one World to another will cause the Minecraft server to force you to the default spawn point no matter what. This could be anywhere, above lava... inside blocks etc. So be careful.
    • This seems to be a bug within CB/SMP itself and therefore until a fix or workaround is released you'll just have to be careful with the command.
    • Using the portals however does not cause this issue.

That is strange, can you pastebin these two files-

    server.log
    Permissions Config File

Ahh, yeah that could very well be it then. I had read that but had forgotten about it. Not really a big deal for me, I'm the only one with the mvtp command.

Ok looking at it you have a portal which doesnt have a world set to it... will add a form of error checking in next version...

However this means that your portals file is not setup correctly, you may want to try clear it and recreate the portals.
    --- merged: Feb 15, 2011 6:43 AM ---
Glad to hear it's working, hopefully you didn't lose much by removing your configs.

    @all
Time to hit the hay (sleep).... so probably won't be responding to posts for a good 6+ hours :).

Hopefully this version doesn't cause many issues :)

Version 1.1 works with portals now. Thank you very much for that. :)
One annoying thing is that I always get on top of the destination portal when teleported. Have I done something wrong with my selection or why is this?

Good job making this plugin! :)

    Hi,

First of all, thanks for this really neat plugin!
I have seen I can enter the costs per portal now, through the portals.yml file, but there are two things that are not working (or I dont understand:) )
I have two portals: HomeToNether (costs 50 credits) and NetherToHome (0 credits)

    1) Going from Home to Nether doesnt charge me 50 credits, the other way doesnt too (which is correct)
    2) I cannot change portal cost in any other way then altering the portals.yml and rebooting my server, is that correct or am I missing something here?

    Regards,
    ddj

I'm having problems with trying to import a world, I created it with the Netherbone plugin so it loads but it doesn't appear in the MultiVerse settings and trying to use the command to import it says a World of that name already exists. I have another plugin for warpgates but wanted to have this as one for when I go live with my server players can add theirs and only me the admin can add the old type.

Is there a way to put the worlds ive made with /mvcreate in ''Peacefull'' mode for my friends?
I already disabled mobs to spawn, only health isnt refilling, i'd like to make that so my friends doesnt have to get food all the time.

The server properties file works only for the default world (Made by Bukkit at server startup) and not for my world.

Can you please update your commandlist and perhaps a little tutorial for creating Gates?

U should do it with a Wooden Pickaxe, left and right click to set coordinates

Nah you've not done anything wrong, I just reused some safe teleportation code which checks the Y-Axis for a safe spot first, will change this shortly :).
    --- merged: Feb 15, 2011 3:56 PM ---
Have you got iConomy enabled in the config? Atm its very basic iConomy support. and for now the only way is to edit the file itself, you shud be able to type /reload in console though instead of restarting the server.
    --- merged: Feb 15, 2011 3:58 PM ---
When Importing it checks if a World is already loaded into CraftBukkit with that name, so you have to disable any other plugin which is loading worlds for MultiVerse to then control it. This is to stop conflicts and such.
    --- merged: Feb 15, 2011 3:58 PM ---
hmm, not sure if there's a setting for that either, can have a look into it... will add it to the list.

Will try get a Tutorial/HowTo out sometime, just quite busy here.

In the first post I mention you set the coordinates with a wooden pickaxe, using left click and right click. Can you try that?

Is is need to make a portal like in singleplayer to go to the nether????
Coz i can create a portal whith mark 1 block with leftclick and the block next to it with rightclick. I make a portal and set destination to other portal, but i dont get teleportet anyway... ???

  24. Offline

    Rigby90

No you don't need to use the netherportals if you don't want to, the chances are something went wrong in the process, how did you type the commands?

Feel free to pastebin your config files for me to look at.

    TheDaddyPeanut

It just gives an message that it is created. Or destination set and so on.
So with commands is nothing wrong...

I also have my world called Home. I have 2 worlds now:
world - default world where new players spawn
    home - made with multiverse.

Is it possible to set the spawn everytime after logout to the default world??
Because i have to tp to world and after that to home to be able to destroy blocks...

iConomy doesn't seem to work. It says: Charged 0 when using the portals. I've set iConomy to true and changed the price to 50. Also the tp cooldown doesn't seem to work. Sorry for whining so much, but it would be great if those worked. :)

    Evil_Kitten

I created a Nether world with the /mvcreate command and when I try and use /mvtp [worldname] I get an Internal Server Error with this in the console. I've looked around the world in MCEdit and discovered the spawn point in inside a bunch of blocks. I've created another Netherworld and it's fine.

Edit: Discovered my problem >.< When you name a world make sure you're naming it correctly and therefore when later trying to teleport to the world you are matching it with the world you are going to >.<

  28. Can you have an option to turn of signed portals (made using a sign). I'd like to not allow everyone to create portals to anywhere they wish. Maybe a white list of portal locations by sign? Just a suggestion though.

Yup, iConomy = enabled.. recrated my portals again:

    Code:
    portals:
        HomeNether:
            price: 0.0
            destlocation: p:NetherHome
            location: 398.0,66.0,286.0:400.0,69.0,286.0
            owner: nanana
            world: home
        NetherHome:
            price: 50.0
            destlocation: p:HomeNether
            location: 26.0,71.0,-16.0:26.0,74.0,-14.0
            owner: nanana
            world: Nether

With every tp it just states I have been charged 0 coin.
Tried with and without op/admin permissions, no luck.

    Noticed a few bugs today:

/mvtp portalname w/o the leading "p:" causes an Internal Server Error and crashes the client
Using the info wand on a portal, the destination information is not actually displayed. It says it goes nowhere.
