    In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use www.spout.org for support with our projects going forward.

    Make users should be able to do the same thing basically.
    If it doesn't run by double-clicking, then you can run it by making a .command file such as Spoutcraft.command and putting this inside it:

    We'll have a .app available soon for Mac users as well.

    We do not support any other client mods that aren't integrated directly already. Support for other mods will be possible later through our client plugin API, much like Bukkit is for servers.

    You are welcomed to manually try it, but we will not be able to support you if you have other client mods installed.
    Most other client mods conflict with the class file Spoutcraft modifies or cause conflicts on way or another. So we recommend that you do not modify the client when running the Spoutcraft client.

  5. Thanks for the extra info on a second not to your last post the too many items mod works fine on spoutcraft so does zans minimap although i did have a little trouble getting them both to work in spoutcraft but it all runs fine now

    Hm sorry, I still don't understand it. In your description you write [...]to bridge the ever-widening chasm between single player mods, and multi-player Bukkit plugins[...]
    Doesn't this mean you plan on supporting singleplayermods in multiplayer?

    Yes, we are going to have something that single player mods can use to make them work with Spoutcraft and multiplayer.

    So the Aether Mod is a single player Mod, why wouldn't it work then?

    Because you can't just copy paste mods over Spoutcraft without breaking something usually. We modify A LOT of files for it and so an API is needed to allow other mods to work with it easily.

    Would love to use spout however it seams to clash with world edit plugin... everytime i replace more than 3 or 4 blocks with spout enabled you have to log out and back on to see the changes :(

    Ah, this means you have to write a Spoutcraftplugin for (almost) every mod you want to support?

    I wouldn't be surprised if it had conflicted classes, which it does... nb.class is the same class as one that Spoutcraft modifies. You can only use one or the other right now.

    We won't, developers or fanboys will be able to port what they would like. Hopefully we'll make it as painless as possible.

  14. This sounds like a great plugin but how do I install it on my bukkit server? I can't seem to find any tutorials.
    *EDIT: I tried putting the spout jar on the server into the plugin folder of bukkit.
    And mcMMO doesn't seem to change at all. The features mcMMO has in compatibility with spout still don't work.

    I'm about to try to use a self-made texture pack with the standard minecraft lava. Which looks just ew now.

    Every other post on this page seems to be about why a mod won't work with Spoutcraft. I hate to say this, but it's going to have to be done: RTFM.

    And as for you... READ GODDAMNIT! If you simply read then you would know that Spout has no affect on your gameplay experience with mcMMO UNLESS you have the Spoutcraft launcher.
     
  16. Explains a lot. if I find out how to use my texture pack with it.. but still it's not the future of client-side.

    And also it changed the color system. I don't like how yellow turned into light blue..

    **EDIT: Somehow spout loads the lava graphics different... This is weird. Do I have to create a .png for each graphic or what?

    You put your texture pack in the texture pack folder like normal. There is a big button that says "Open Texture Packs Folder" under your Texture Packs button on the main menu.

    I'm not sure what you are talking about with the colors though and where.

    God knows what you're on about with the colours, but as for the custom lava/water textures, Spoutcraft comes with the MCPatcher fix for custom liquid textures and for HD textures.

    Just add the custom liquids to the texture pack then. Simple. A lot of people use the custom water and lava because many people have MCPatcher/OptiFine/Spoutcraft

    Here, this is my own custom texture pack. Unzip it and open the terrain.png and in the lower right-hand corner, you will find the custom fluids textures in the right tile slots.

    You will also need the pngs for running water and lava which are found in that zip too.
