In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use www.spout.org for support with our projects going forward.

You mean I have the chance of breaking things. I will continue to use normal minecraft then until I have the ability to use a multi-threaded OptiFine. Thank you though.

Just wondering: You said you included optifine, but i don't get to change all the video settings and i get less fps than my original minecraft copy with optifine installed (and zombes modpack + toomanyitems)

(I really want to turn on MipMaps)

As I said DO NOT MOD .spoutcraft You will break things!

Right now you cannpt have a minimap. It will be eventually added by one way or another

You should add some kind of FAQ, seems to be the same questions all the time.

Hey @alta189 and the rest of the Spout crew.

Got everything up and running on my server this morning with no problems that were not solved by a little forum reading.

I am new to bukkit, spout(bukkitcontrib) and plugins in general.

I saw alta189 mention "DO NOT MOD .spoutcraft" is this to say do not bring in any new mods on to your server/clientside that are not supported by spout? Or is that to say do not go fiddlin' with spoutcraft's code?

sorry for the newbie question, just trying to ensure my server runs smoothly.

Thanks again for all your hard work. I look forward to getting my greedy paws on new monsters.

Don't mod add other mods to it
do that to your vanilla minecraft

I am going to when I have time

what he's saying is don't modify your SpoutCraft client (located in the .spoutcraft folder). Some people like to have client-side mods to enhance their SMP gameplay. Installing any of those will break SpoutCraft.

As for the server plugins, you can put as many as you want in, as long as they don't need BukkitContrib (as that and Spout don't play nicely together)

AuthDB v2.2.0 never worked properly with BukkitContrib and therefore not with Spout either.
AuthDV v2.3.0 dev builds were fixed for BukkitContrib, but no changes have been made for Spout yet.

ahhhhh excellent! Thank you. That is exactly what I was wonder. No worries there. As stated elsewhere - I am not a dev. My modin' kung-fu is non-existent.

    @alta189

Fix your poorly thought out plugin. It should never auto update, it should never install without confirmation. It's more than just a little a shady, and a lot more than mildly inconvenient. Thanks for the 200M + log file increase in 8 hours.

It's great you have a config file - why would you have the most promiscuous settings as default?

Great that you kick everyone who has a valid concern from your 'support' channel - explains why no one is in it, and none of the developers are in the #bukkit channel.

Be afraid of confrontation or not - take away the fact that you(r team) made an incredibly stupid decision, and rectify it. Spout may be the second coming of god, it's still rape if you didn't ask before sticking it in our asses.

    Yes, Spout 1.0.1.

This morning (around 9am UK time). I built the latest release from github then (I'm the one who sent the pull request fixing the launcher on Linux :) )

Weird I tested and have not had this issue yet...

I have already talked to him on IRC but I want to explain so that everyone else will know what happened.

On our IRC #spout he logged in and complained about the auto updating claiming Spout/BukkitContrib was a piece of shit. Frankly I will not support any user that logs in and says this. I kicked him and said attitude check. The bukkit team also kick/bans people when they need to cool down, so I thought this would be the appropriate response to a trollish remark. I will support anyone that comes in and does not act rude. Most people join and just say "Hey I have some questions or ideas." This is what I appreciate the most. However I pmed @ppp and we worked it out and he said he had to go for work

I might have quoted the wrong post :p

Seems to be the minecraft.jar not the launcher. I will look into it

You came in with a stink attitude, I was there and have logs, so maybe next time come in and explain your idea, they are aways open to new ideas and would be happy to implement them. But maybe not being an asshole first.

I did mention MipMaps, (They reduce flickering when stuff is in the distance)
I was wondering how it comes that, since you have optifine built into spoutcraft, i'm not able to configure the mod.
(Optifine comes with alot of customization when you open up the video options, i don't see those with spoutcraft)
I also get less FPS with spoutcraft than with the original minecraft with optifine, toomanyitems and zombe installed

    @SpoutDev

Ok this is really for anyway that can give me a hand. Everything is online and working fine - but we've had a tiny little snag on the client side. Really small issue. Really really small.

And it probably just boils down to us being idiots. So that is fine.

Some of my players play in windowed mode, but can't seem to adjust the gui scale while in windowed mode. It all seems so itty bitty tiny. Anyone know how we can get their Gui in windowed mode to a 'normal' size. Their GUI scale is normal if they full screen it.

I have a plugin that keeps auto-downloading BukkitContrib, which is conflicting with another plugin that auto-downloads Spout.. can anyone help me figure out what it is?

    these are all my plugins:

they're all either up to date or using the latest dev builds.

  23. In the server ip field you have to delete text by spamming backspace. Please make it so we can just hold down backspace :)

My suggestion start a test server, and copy over plugins till you find which ones

the surefire way to determine it is check each plugin's thread you have, and see if it needs bukkitcontrib/has an update for spout yet. otherwise just looking at a list of plugin jars idk which one it is, sorry.
