Could someone please make or port in the Exact Spawn mod? The simple purpose of the mod was that Minecraft by default will spawn you anywhere in a 20 block radius of the spawn block. This can prove troublesome when you have a specially made spawn area. I'd really like to see this mod return. Original mod: http://forum.hey0.net/showthread.php?tid=902 If anyone is up to the challenge, it'd also be nice if people could set their home location too so when they use /home they jump to the position they used /sethome. Though please put in the permissions file these commands so admin can choose who can use it.
I'll be porting SpawnControl to Bukkit very soon (hopefully this weekend). It includes ExactSpawn-like functionality, among other things.

There may be some additional trouble having someone make a mod that will do exact spawn to Y cords. In minecraft the engine has an invisible block set to tell it where to spawn players. Although it has X/Y/Z cords, the minecraft engine also has a second function on it. It always spawns players only in places that gets direct, full, sunlight. There's debate if you can put spawn zones under glass, but otherwise if you try to put spawn under any other type of block, you'll end up spawning somewhere else on the surface at random. I don't know if exactspawn or spawncontrol can override this behavior so you can appear underground or under a roof.
