Would it be possible for someone make a plugin that will make custom mobs even with default skin? Also would there be any way to add a skin to it?

ex. Make a custom mob that drops gold, has 10x normal health, alf as big as giant, with a Notch skin.

    Not possible.

    Ok, just wondering.

    First 2 examples are possible
However, making different sized mobs, or changing skins on mobs, is not possible without a client-side modification.

Try 'crowd control'! You can change every mob, and it has a lot of features!
For example: I made angry chickens:
    - that spawn on sand in the night
    - that attacked you as soon as they saw you
    - had tough damage
    - a lot of health
    - burn in the sunlight
It was really funny, and some people in my server thougt the angry chickens where a joke xD
But you can also spawn 'humans' and 'giants' since you don't need a client mod for these!

My advice is: Just try it and forget those stupid skins.

LOL! ok I will have to do that without telling them. about 10 of the people on my server were hunting herobrine (Was he readded in 1.7.3?) and then they were talking of Spy chicken so I might do somthing with a chicken. Thanks :D

  7. Wait.. Who said it was impossible? It's not impossible.

Observe: ModDamage and AngryWolves. Both of these create 'custom mobs' in a way. I know there are ways to make mobs spawn with unique attributes, I just don't know what it is. (This is proven in AngryMobs with fireproof on fire wolves.)

Custom skins are a definite no. Not sure if the field around the charged creeper is a property or a different skin.

Jw, Why cant we get custom skins if the Citizens or NPC thing got them?

Its impossible/possible. You can change the behavior of the NPCS, but you can't create technically new ones. it just creates a chicken with different properties at night.

Hmm. I made my chickens AGGRESSIVE at night and day. But they didnt change at all. I also did do enable....

You can't actually get custom skins. NPCs are actually fake players. When you make an NPC that is named Notch, the server treats it pretty much like Notch actually signed in, and that's why he has Notch's skin.

So you couldnt make the mob an npc?
Or like a npc that is herobrine that acts like him.

  13. It does not mean what you think it means Mikey. NPC's, to look like PC's, I am certain *MUST* have registered, paid for names on the Minecraft server. And then you have to pull some Tomfoolery to get it to work.

Also: An aggressive chicken still has no damaging attacks.

You can change that in crowd control. It's called 'collision damage' or something

Yeah, I changed it all but I just decided after a few hours to remove it from the server.

  16. He is not in 1.7.3. He has never been in Minecraft and will never be.

What about the secret friday thing?

    HuntMASTER15

Yes he was. Used to you could do /spawnmob monster and herobrines would spawn. Look in Notch's changelog. It even says he removed herobrine. Back on topic, bottom line custom skins are not possible without a client mod of some type, unless the NPC username is an already made account with a custom skin (f.e. If you made an NPC titled HuntMASTER15, the NPC would have my skin even without a client mod). Now, you could make them attack players and such and even behave like people but I believe it would take some serious coding.

God, Why can't this thread be closed... All the questions have been awnsered just people always have to come back and post somthing -_-

  20. That was a joke, everything Notch has said about Herobrine is just to fuck around with you.
/spawnmob is a part of Essentials, so if you were able to spawn Herobrine, it would be Essentials fault.

No it wasn't. You can read them on the wiki too. The removed Herobrine was real. The herobrine was named "Monster" and could only be spawned through hacks. It had a default skin. It was even in the files before the update. It did exist but it was only a monster spawnable with mods (fe Essentials and SPCommands).

  22. When you spawn a "Monster" with Essentials you just spawn an Entity with the default skin, not Herobrine.
Again, he has never been in the game and will never be.

Exactly. There was a player with the name and skin of Herobrine (I figure there still is), so generating an NPC with that name would create an apparent Herobrine.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know you two were developers of the game or had asked them this personally. I'll just be going now.

I know herobrine had white eyes. Now, for some STRANGE reason, the mob in that wiki got removed when notch put on his release notes "removed Herobrine"... Hmm... What could that mean?

Edit: It, of course, means that the mob in that wiki was what we have been talking about.

That mob is the base mob for all other mob types. It has not been removed. It was never Herobrine.

It was the base mob? Whatever you say. Since you personally speak with Notch.
Taken from the Version History in the wiki: Removed humans(?) (mentioned as Herobrine in Notch's patch notes as a joke).
Under the 1.6.6 release notes. But of course the wiki is wrong too.

    @HuntMASTER15
You don't have to be so pompous. Also, as of CB1000, they are still able to be spawned in game. Use Essentials and type "/spawnmob monster." The "(?)" signified that that was speculative and was posted because of the joke about Herobrine that Notch made. Even look in the javadocs, it's still there.

Okay so yes essentials kept it. Look on the Humans page on the wiki. It says it is still in the javadocs but has been made unable to be spawned ingame. Even from SPC. But obviously Essentials kept it.
