Version: v1.2 Beta - Google Code
Follow Development Status: Twitter - WMisiedjanTech

With WirelessRedstone you can create connections between to redstone points, When power comes into a Transmitter sign it will create power on a Receiver sign.

I'm currently developing version 1.0 with a lot of new features!
Check out source code/Development status on:
    https://code.google.com/p/wirelessredstone/

    <font color="rgb(255, 0, 0)">WARNING:</font>
Version 0.2 is NOT be compatible with older versions.
Remove the WirelessRedstone folder in plugins before upgrading!

    How does it work?
    * Step 1

    - * Place a sign wherever you want the redstone to come from.
    * Place on the first line of the sing: [transmitter] or [WRt]
    * And on the second line any name/number you want. (Channel name)
    - Step 2
    * Place a sign wherever you want the redstone to go to.
    * Type on the first line of the sign: [receiver] or [WRr]
    * And on the second line the SAME name/number that you have typed on the second line of the transmitter. (Channel name)
    - Step 3
    * Power a Redstone to the transmitter sign.
    * Now a power will be created on the receiver sign!
    - Step 4 (Optional)
    * You can now create more Receivers or Transmitters on the same channel or a other channel!

The WRt and WRr tags are available since version 1.0a.

When you become a human again maybe we can talk about it!
Also the info you provide is not enough...
Provide the CB build you are using and the FULL error log.
    Have a nice day!

So i'm really liking this mod, a few ideas i came up with though, not sure how feasible they are.

Idea 1. Change the sign set up so that you can do the following:

    Line 1: [WRt]
    Line 2: My Base
    Line 3: 2.4GHz

    Line 1: [WRr]
    Line 2: My Base
    Line 3: 2.4GHz

Basically i find that because you can only fit so much on 1 line, it's not always easy to come up with a good channel name/number

You could still make it so that you only need line 1 and 2, but if line 3 is provided, it creates sort of a grouping system, where by you could then have a master button which has:

    Line 1: [WRt]
    Line 2: My Base

And when that button is pressed, all the receiver signs (regardless of what line 3 has) would all trigger, however you could then have another button which has line 3 set to trigger only a specific subset.

Basically i was creating my hidden base and thought it would be nice to have a master button to unhide the mountain base (revealing the windows, doors, etc...) and then another button inside which would hide only the doors, or only the windows.

Idea 2: Have it so that you can assign a delay in seconds on line 4, that way, instead of requiring umpteen dozen repeaters to delay it, the sign could be:

    Line 1: [WRt]
    Line 2: My Base
    Line 4: 10

And that would mean that the sign holds onto the redstone current for 10 seconds before transmitting it to the receiver signs. I know i could use repeaters, and currently i do, i just think this could improve things quite a bit.

Not bad ideas bad i don't think that people would have the brain power to understand such a feature...
I do understand what you want and you could work around it like so:
    1. Make a channel for windows
    2. Make a channel for doors
    3. Make any other channels you wish
    4. Make a "Master" channel and link THAT to transmitters for ALL the other channels you wish it to control
    EASY!!!

    haha

p.s. Don't get me wrong i am really tired, If you wish i can further explain!
    Cause i made something similar!

    DON'T THANK ME!!!
    There is no need to!
You're a great guy and made me a funky plugin that saved me hours and hours of "work", that alone deserves something!
I am so happy to have you back and looking forward to what you have in store for us!

P.S. I have a very BIG and (imo) amazing contraption in mind and your plugin makes it ever more AWESOME!!!
Once it's done a HQ video and tutorials will be available for you to use as you please.
Also plz change the 1st video tutorial with the new one here :

oh, i could just put some signs all around the master button which link to each individual set of receiver signs, that's not a problem.

the other big annoyance is how much space a simple T-FlipFlop takes up, i would need one for each of the different channels that i want to control, if only there was a much much smaller version (the only mod i could find that provided one was the 'Anvil' mod, and i didn't really like the set up of that one) of it, one that took up very little space.

mine currently takes up a space of i believe 10x7x1

I was able to fix that Null error.
All I did was open up the Settings file in the WirelessRedstone folder and deleted all the channels that had Null for Receiver or Transmitter.

I had tried developing something like that, but you cannot develop a full switch with smaller switches near it, as if one is already powered, it would never listen to the master switch

    Ofcourse, Just be patient.

Just went back from vacation, had a rest day and now listing everything that needs to be done and starting directly with everything. My keyboard feels weird after I went back from vacation so I guess I need to get used to it again.

Hoping to do as much as possible tonight.

I did have problems with that, one would have to connect all the T-Flip Flops up together somehow, or connect the master one to each of the individual ones, or something like that.

When i attempted it, 2 of my receiver signs got stuck as torches, no matter what i did, i could not get them to go back to signs, ended up having to go into the config file and remove them from there so that i could destroy them.

The mod is already compatible with 953, at least, that's the bukkit version i am using with this mod, and there's no actual issues with it (besides the odd 'null' that ends up in the logfile (i'm not using superpickaxe or whatever it is)).

I am creating a real time clock inside minecraft with NO plugins other then Wireless Redstone, when it's done i will release a Video or a series of video showing how i did it and there will be explanations for many of the things we talk about here, i hope you can wait a bit as all these takes time to make and produce.
As for the T flip flops, THEY ARE A PAIN I KNOW!!!
BUT i think i may have solved it using pistons, as soon as i work out 1 last bug i will post a video of it!

I found a really cool compact T-FlipFlop on youtube (actually i found a couple), one has a t-flipflop that is no more than 2 high x 4 long by 1 wide (not including input and output), but as i found out with that one, it only appears to work in 1.7.3 (it works in my single player which is 1.7.3, but not in my SMP which is running CraftBukkit 953+1.7.2).

The other one i found, is 2 high x 8 long x 1 wide (not including input and output), this one was designed for 1.7.1, which made me happy as it meant i could use it on my server.

Yeah this plugin is very buggy.
You can get around it really easily though just don't make a Transmitter and not make a Receiver or vice versa before you reload your server.

Make sure before you stop or reload your server that you have a Transmitter and a Receiver.

Because when the plugin loads and sees that a Transmitter does not have a Receiver (or vice versa). The plugin will not load correctly.

To fix it, just open up the Settings file inside the WirelessRedstone folder (Located inside your plugins folder).

Press Ctrl + F and search for the word Null.

Delete all channels that have the word Null for either Transmitter or Receiver.

The plugin should now load up properly.

This is not a bug, I know exactly what you did, and its a little hard to explain.
The sign that you are seeing that you are claiming is a clone. Is really just a previous WRr Sign that you laid down and destroyed.

Once you place a sign down. You cannot destroy it. Although it may look like you did destroy it, this is only client side. The Plugin still tells the server there is a sign there. This is why it comes back when the WRt sign is activated.

You must remove the signs using the command. /WRremove fabis_dung5.

Your setup talked about a .2 --1.0 config converter. I'm still running .2 due to the fact of not wanting to redo ALL of my redstone wire. Is this converter/translator functional? If so, how do we use it?

  21. Offline

    WMisiedjan

It's all done automatically and it's fully functional. Just backup your old config (just in case), upgrade to 1.1 and it will automatically detect if you used a older version and it will then convert the old config to the new one.

I know it's buggy, Thats why it's still in Alpha fase.

only config file is still in there unchanged.

I have checked the settings.yml file and there are no 'null' entries in there, the only thing i have done is moved my game to a new host and updated to 'CB Recommended 1000 (MC1.7.3)'

The weird thing, is that even though i am getting these errors, the whole thing still works, all my wireless receivers still get triggered.

The null error you get means that you have a sign that is [WRt] or [WRr] and does NOT exist in the config!!!
the other errors i don't think that are caused by the WR plugin...
    just my 2cents.

hamachi keeps griefers and lesser intellectuals away, mainly. they can't even operate hamachi. to me, if you can take the time for hamachi, then you deserve to be part of our huge server. also, give us a while to record a vid.

ok, removed the entire settings.yml file, and redid every single sign and the problem is gone.

I still think it's a bug that needs to be either caught or thrown out in code though, maybe post a simple message letting the admin know what has happened instead of throwing up all that code (or something like that, i dunno)

@WMisiedjan is doing just that as a first priority, fixing bugs and making the plugin rock steady and solid!

Send me a PM with the hamach details so i can check it out!
Also the time of day which the server is on.
For the Video take you time and make it cool and super awesome!!!

and now none of my circuits work. To my knowledge, it was working yesterday the first time it was run on the new craftbukkit but now nothing works. I have also tried 1.1 and the same thing happens
