(CB 953) I don't know how, but my server recently became permanently stuck in no-pvp mode. I don't know exactly when, but I think it was around the MC 1.7.2 update. The players really want PVP back, but I have no idea how to reenable it. My server.properties file has "pvp=true" in it, and that hasn't changed since the start. I've gone through my list of plugins and non of them seem to have pvp disabled. The only two real candidates for this that I have are WorldGuard and Essentials, but both are pvp enabled. Any thoughts? Here's a list of my current plugins. If anyone has any ideas of where else to look, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Why don't you remove your candidate plugins and run a quick test if PvP returns with one of them removed.
Landmarks? The map add on? That seems... odd. But at this point I'll try anything. That's good troubleshooting advice, thanks! EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
i have an idea have you turned pvp on while the servers running because i had a problem were ouldnt change anything when the servers on
If all else fails, you can always reconfigure craftbukkit, but save your world, then copy into the new folder you make
Well I disabled every potential plugin, including some that didn't seem likely and still no luck. *sigh* It's just stuck in non-pvp mode indefinitely. What do you mean by reconfigure, exactly? Like start vanilla, then add everything back in? I haven't tried to change anything while running, sadly. Wish it were that simple. Strangely when I delete the pvp=true line entirely from the server.properties file, then start the server back up, it restores the line pvp=true. So the server "thinks" it's in pvp mode.. grrr...
