    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More
    Current Version: 2.2-AB

    Description
Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    • The plugin should now support any custom Environment/Biomes which are added to CraftBukkit in the future without an update from Multiverse.
    • Fixed the 'Kick on Teleport' issue.
    Version 1.6.4

    • Fixed 0 Price Portals
    • Fixed a bug with new Portals
    • Updated for iConomy 5 (You will need to update to iCo 5)
    • Improved the PVP Setup
      • Now you no longer have to set the server.properties PVP variable to true... this is now completely done via the worlds config and properly stops PVP rather than preventing the damage from being applied.
    Version 1.6.3

    • Update for Minecraft 1.5 and CraftBukkit build 733
    Version 1.6.2

    • Contains updates/features which were introduced in 1.5
Version 1.6 - Thanks to 'fernferret'

    • Updated for CB Builds 600+
    Version 1.5 - Permissions 2.1+ - (V1.5 - 02/03/2011)[/U]

    • Fixed whitelist/blacklisting once and for all :), thanks to @ledhead900
    • Add permission node 'multiverse.portal.exempt' -- Basically means they don't have to pay the cost of the portal... this is useful for Donors and such.
    • Updated to use iConomy 4.1 -- Would be great if I can get feedback on this... as usual I can only test solo.
    Version 1.4 - Permissions 2.0 & 2.1 - (V1.4 - 26/02/2011 - 01:11 AM GMT)

    • Should be easier on high pop servers now
      • Only checks if a player is within a Portal everytime he changes BLOCK Coordinate instead of every single pixel footstep he/she takes.
    • Now Supports Permissions 2.1 -- Both 2.1 and 2.0 support have seperate JARs, so get the right one.
      • Also commands are properly disabled when a Permissions plugin is not found and it will alert the player trying to use the Command.
    Version 1.3 - Permissions 2.0 - (V1.3 - 24/02/2011 - 02:31 AM GMT)

    • Removed the 'Stupidly Long Constructor'
    • Fixed an error which was loading portals that were on a non existent world which caused errors later on.
    Version 1.2.2 - (V1.2.2 - 23/02/2011 - 03:05 AM GMT)

    • Nothing much just updated so it works with Minecraft Beta 1.3, I suggest you don't use a lower Multiverse build than v1.2.2 otherwise it won't work and errors will occur.
    Version 1.2.1 - (V1.2.1 - 20/02/2011 - 23:35 PM GMT)

    • Changed over to the new Entity Damage...

Best ask over there then, I don't use any of the command packages such as Essentials or Command Book

I wish this plugin would work without Permissions
I pull out my hair trying to get Permissions working.
The dev should make it so only ops could make new worlds and anyone could go to world
    that is all I need

If the 5 minutes of reading that it takes to learn how to set up permissions is too much for you then why are you trying to run a server?

Nah, that didn't work.. i already tried it. :p
Was one of the first things i tried before saying anything.

Can't help you then as it would require the command handler to be rewritten, try Multiverse 2?

Can you point me in the right direction to get MV 2?

As per what the devs have said, these are not stable, not complete, and not gaurenteed to work/not break your game/server/world. Your best bet would be to wait; judging by activity and remaining tickets a release for MV2 will probably happen within the next 1-2 weeks (my personal opinion).

MV2 core at the very least is stable on 953, a full back up is still a good idea though

    L24D

it's not that big of a deal, i've got numerous ways to get around it. :p...
plus i've got it set so i'm the only one that can use the mv commands anyways.

I just wanted to report it, and let them know about it.

Thank you to both, Helped allot! All I needed was the MV2-core. I use warp commands to move through worlds, so once again thank you.

EDIT: Works Flawless for me as well. No errors, but I have made a back up just in case. Just an FYI for any other user who wants clarification.

Working well for me as well, at least the Core is. Portals still aren't responding.

  13. Nope. There are dev builds out though, if you don't use MVPortals they're pretty stable, any known bugs are documented in the issues.

    MV2 supports ops.txt.

Haha, yea the portals plugin is empty :p
    https://github.com/Herocraft/Multiv...mbox/MultiVersePortals/MultiVersePortals.java

This is my next weekend project.

    @L24D
Just a note on this. We did a lot of work with MV2 and it's CommandManager. Here's how it works:

    You type:
    /mvcreate "My new world" NORMAL

    Multiverse gets
    args[0] = "My new world"
    args[1] = "NORMAL"

    Pretty slick eh?
    Well, I thought so :)

Basically any quoted strings get turned into a single parameter before they even get passed to the commands, so ANYTHING in MV2 can support spaces!

If you want a specific build (IE not the latest) then click in to the area and on the left you will see a series of builds
Blue = Successful Compile, Red = Failed Compile, Nothing indicates these are perfect so as I and many others have said, if you choose to use MV2 then do so with a full back-up on hand just in case

Can we please have a World whitelist? this would help greatly for adventure maps and lets plays.. a simple whitelist of players that are allowed to enter a world....

I'm not sure this is so much a bug, but whenever i make a Skylands world, it hits a point and then it starts generating normal land instead of skylands, which kind of defeats the purpose. Is this a setting or something somewhere that I'm missing? I'm sure its not supposed to do that...

Here is an updated cheat sheet for 1.7.2 (see attached)

I had the same problem, and assumed I messed something up. Perhaps it is a sign of an unfinished Skylands code.

It sounds like one of your portals isn't setup with a destination attached. This should fix that issue:
    Code:
    /mvps p:portal2
    /mvpd p:portal1

well all the nicely written non-caps posts were overlooked and i'm getting extremely frustrated. is no one else having the same problem?

well the regular world and world_nether maps load with just craftbukkit, its the MV worlds acting funny. maybe my posts weren't formatted properly, but i couldn't get help on the bukkit help forum and others said it worked fine so i assumed it was MV

@wardevour – All of the people I've talked to seem to agree that it's a bug in how Bukkit handles multiple worlds.

I believe it was mentioned further up in the thread that maps on non-default worlds not working is a bukkit problem.

    Maxis010

The CraftBukkit team were working on map events back in 1.6 so now that they don't have to worry about MC updating a for a bit I'd say they will be able to put some more focus on to finishing these events (along with their other jobs) and eventually allow maps to be multiworld compatible

in plugins/Permissions, (at least with v3+) you should have a folder for each of your worlds that will each contain a users.yml and groups.yml. These can be modified independently to tune permissions for each world.
