@Nideco That is actually a design flaw in the new command system. There is no way for one plugin to explicitly override another plugin or for them to self-prioritize, as there previously was, I'm afraid. One workaround is to prefix commands with the plugin name (/MCDocs:help for example). I've started adding aliases common plugins, such as /myhome for /MyHome:home.

Editing the plugin.yml file within the Essentials jar also fixes this issue. Just remove any conflicting commands.

@Zenexer Possibly mention in the OP that people can edit the plugins file in order to remove conflicting commands for the time being, until a native workaround is developed? Just a suggestion.

    148:
    149:
    - Minor bug fixes
    - Automatic build number updates

    150:
    - Trial release build

    151:
    - /modgrp will now reload permissions settings for all plugins automatically, without fully reloading the plugins
    - Allowed some commands to be used from the console
    - Changed how certain errors are handled

    152:
    - Altered changelog release

    153:
    - /kit will now send items directly to the inventory

@Aelux I'm working on a tool to allow automatic generation of customized plugins :D

craftbukkit b256, essentials 152 (listed as 138 in console but contains new commands so it's not).

Also using Login Queue, WorldEdit, WorldGuard, and Cleaner.

I cannot pardon, ban, or kick from the console. This only happened after upgraded Essentials (and no other part) so Essentials seems to be at fault.

/modify doesn't seem to work. /modgrp and /mod do. Typing either the command alone says the command is /modify. The inputs are case sensitive, which can lead to two users with the same name and different case appearing in the list. It seems to use the most permissive, which makes it less of a problem. Groups appear to be case-insensitive, so that's not an issue right now.

/modgrp also seems to only let people set others to their same group and no other, regardless of inheritance chains. Since I intended to give the command to mods and let them set people to a more permissive non-default group, and all they can do is set other people to be mods, it renders it less useful.

There is no mention as to what the permission for /reloadall is. essentials.plugin, essentials.reloadall, and essentials.modgrp don't give this permission. I mention this because /modgrp didn't seem to be reloading permissions.

    Hi

Love the plugin. Everything I need in this works except I can't seem to get the mail working. I put the command:
    /mail send Reterg Test message

but it only responds with "Error 2"

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks

I wonder what's wrong now, as I get the same. Mail did work earlier on for me.

If I'm getting this right: This plugin „broke“ the other one, because there can only one plugin at a time, with the same commands defined in the plugin.yml?

My suggestion (for Bukkit): Add a priority and bukkit is triggering this one with the highest priority first (e.g. MyHome will use „normal“). Then yours and you can look if somebody before has canceled the command? I would also suggest one negative priority, and this priority will only execute if no plugin before has canceled it.

Added 4 more config lines to the Permissions wiki page (checked they were current commands against b153's plugin.yml). Notes left in Revision History :D

Is there any chance of the help file being more dynamic, not returning commands back to the users if the commands have been disabled, or if their class doesn't have permission to use the commands?

Hello. This plugin works as expected. I have a question. How can I translate the plugin tomy language? So far I have managed to change the text that appears when you type /help, but still are untranslated passages. I can not find the place where I make thischange.

    Example:
Instead, "Usage: / ban [player]" I would have "Użyj: /ban [gracz]" in Polish.
    Similarly with the other commands.

    Example 2:
Instead of "Page 1 of 7" in the command / help, I would have, "Strona 1 z 7" in Polish.

Can also change the name of the command that you type on the chat? Instead, "/ help"would have "/pomoc"

    I have a suggestion idea

Can we get a command to completely REMOVE the spawnpoint from your world. for some of us we have seperate plugins that handle spawn it uses its OWN spawn not the map created one like yours does.

having two makes some issues sometimes and some of us with older worlds cannot make use of a smaller protection size until bukkit impliments spawn size config file.

like ours were stuck with the almost infinite spawn protect size issue that was in an eairlier build of bukkit as we cannot re make it. /setspawn again using this does not fix it. We got choice to but to manually remove it with a map editor or put up with it.

Just wondering if there is a way, or if you might considering adding :
    /mail all message...
    for Admins

This way if something dire has changed in the server, map change, some new feature, and not everyone visits your forums for updates. They could be notified thru the mail system.

How do I disable the mod mails?

  26. Hey Zenexer, I just updated my server with the new essentials and I have it under the suspicion that it's interfereng with 'normal' command line commands. As in stealing the help in console which was meant for the console and giving it to Essentials, causing a Error: Only in-game players can use help.

It could not be essentials since I also updated Permissions, General, LWC, even Bukkit itself.
I, however have the feeling that 151's - Allowed some commands to be used from the console has something to do with that...

Does anyone know how to disable the default help text so I can provide my own? I'd like to make some changes. Thanks!

Changing config.yml to include the following disables the mail system:

    Code:
    # Disabled commands will be completelly unavailable on the server.
    disabled-commands:
        - mail

The /help command really needs some work.
    • It needs to only display commands that the player can use – as it used to do in previous versions. Otherwise it's unusable: currently 7 pages full of disabled commands, I can't show this to my players.
    • If possible it should display commands from other plugins. Maybe could it gather those commands from the permission plugin ? Or maybe there should be a totally separate HelpCommand plugin that manages the help command until there's an official implementation in Bukkit ?
    • We should be able to modify/translate the help text. There used to be a help.yml file in previous versions, it doesn't seem to be generated and used anymore... ?

    154:
    - Added console commands:
    - ban
    -- banip
    -- kick
    -- kill
    -- unban
    -- unbanip
    - Fixed /kill feedback text
    - Colored some usage error messages
    - If help.txt exists, use the text from that for /help, instead of the default command list
