    Well. I use
    java -jar Chunkster.jar "C:\Users\Lildirt\Desktop\McMyAdmin\Minecraft\world\"
like I should in command prompt, but this is odd of what I'm getting.
" 'java' is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. "
I've had this error before when trying to check java versions and such, what the hell have I done to my computer?! It all started when I tried to set a path to it, but just said forget it and deleted the path (that I created.)

Uh, please help. I broke my computer D:

YOU SAVED MY LIFE! Or my map rather. It worked perfectly fine and I'd say that anyone who has chunk errors (not missing chunks or something) to use this awesome tool! Good job. Just use it over FTP or make a .bat script (not 100% sure if that'll work).

Shouldthere be some feedback when it fixes bad chunks? I know I have some issues with the map and run it but I got no feedback whether it found bad chunks.

All it did is a lot of the following:

    Code:
    [Chunkster] REGION LOAD world/region/r.1.-6.mcr
    [Chunkster] Scanning region file x=1 z=-6 file=r.1.-6.mcr
    [Chunkster] REGION LOAD world/region/r.1.2.mcr
    [Chunkster] Scanning region file x=1 z=2 file=r.1.2.mcr

A lot of people on this thread have the same problem as me, and have not been helped.
I now beg of you to help me.
I CAN get chunkster to run but after it has scanned for about 10 seconds, it stops and doesnt do anything
    I presume its finished?
Yet i am still getting a GZIP error.
If you need the error, here it is:

When I start my server, it says: "java.io.IOException: Not in GZIP format" and lot of other error messages. I googled this line and I found your programe. I scanned the world directory 6 times but it can't find any errors :S Can you please help me?
I uploaded my world to dropbox:
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6856443/world.zip
If it helps: When the power got off only player "arpi" played so the corrupt chunk should be at his position.
    Thanks!!

    @marosige
Chunkster doesn't always fix GZIP problems so if that is your only world and it didn't fix it, then you will have to recover from a backup.

  26. it worked perfectly, though i wish there was some kind of notification at the end saying something like "All found chunk errors have been repaired" if it actually found some

WORKED created a account just to say this :D. btw if its not working for some ppl it is probably becuase of your world name. My world name was tyler is a stupid poopface that is in love with ralph which did not work. So i changed the name of the world folder to world and then tried it with this time typeing in world. It worked :] and then i changed the world back to its original name so it wouldn't load another one lol. great thing u've made here i love you! peace out!

And there is no way to fix that? I don't have any backups :S

Good news! I typed in to the recycle bin: "world"
and I found 5 folders named this.
One of them is perfect. I don't know how it got there it's like a backup from the last time I played. The only problem is that the weather is snowy everywhere.
But i found an othere backup where the weather is perfect, but the buildings are old.
My question is: in witch file keeps the programe the weather? Maybe I could switch that file and I could get a perfect map with perfect weather. Now it's irritateing that every lake freezes.
    Thanks!

Sorry i forgot to say i fixed it but: If sometimes you have problems like that put the whole path of java.exe. Mines is %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe. So you have to type it like this "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -jar Chunkster.jar [worldname]

I like this and it is a fairly useful tool especially in saving me time in reuploading a world.
But isnt there a better way to delete the chunk errors then just putting a layer over it, so it does a little more good then harm?
    But otherwise great and useful
