Question PermissionsEx help needed.

    Does a rank, from pex, need * perms to do things with pex . I have tried giving a group some of the permission nodes. and its not working. Is there something i need to put in the <group> and <user>?

    Nodes i'm using:

    permissions.manage

    permissions.manage.<user>

    permissions.manage.users

    permissions.manage.users.permissions.<user>

    permissions.manage.groups.list

    permissions.manage.groups.permissions.<group>

    permissions.manage.membership.<group>

    @NotFunny You don't need to set those permissions besides for administrators.
    That is for running /pex commands which you don't want for regular users.

    Yes I know, thats why im trying to give it to an administrator group. I just dont want them to have every command.

    Use the console to add the permission, then PEX will fix the config for you.

    Alright ill try that. Is there anything i need to do with the ones with the <user> or <group> or do i leave that on.

    @NotFunny You replace that with the user or group they are allowed to manage.
    But permissions should only be handled by 1 person: the owner.
    I don't see why other groups would need to manage permissions that can give them more or the same amount of power than the owner.
