    Thanks!

Hm... /cmdbook version says 1.5.2, right?

If you type /who in console, does it say "Connected players: ..." or "Online (x/y): ..."?

does this work with permissions 3.1.4? and does it have a /god command? or do i have to use a separate plugin?

    permissions not working for
    - commandbook.teleport.*
    - commandbook.time.*
    - commandbook.weather.*
always says no permissions, work only if i'll specify full-pathed node

@SK Hey man just updated to the newest version and noticed my /who is back to vanilla. The settings in the config for online-list is all true. I get no grouping, no colors, and no 0/100. I am using RemoteToolkit; is this my problem. It worked fine in the last version. What am I doing wrong.

PS thanks for stopping by my server a while ago all my members love you for everything you do.

    Hey SK,

switched a while ago to this from Essentials. Worked nicely so far, but there's one thing I don't understand.
Why do you manage your own bannlist that is seperated from the default server bannlist?
This seems like a bad design decision to me and leads to all kind of unexpected behaviour.

    - Usually changing a plugin for another that does the same thing doesn't affect the servers core functionality, but here, I would lose the bans I added with CommandBook if I don't remember to move them to the normal banned-players.txt - that's unexpected.
    - /isbanned only works for players banned with CommandBooks /ban.
    - /unban doesn't work with players banned in the servers ban file.
    etc.

At least both banned groups of people are still banned - they just get rejected at different points in the code.
Of course I could try to move all bans into the commandbook file, but this seems wrong - the server has a global storage for banned player names and every plugin offering /ban (and /banip btw.) should use it.

The only reason I could imagine is, that the default ban list doesn't offer ban reasons, but even then, this should be implemented as saving the names to the global list and the reasons locally in the plugins configuration directory - this way you only lose the reasons when you delete CommandBook off the system.

    What's your take on this?

Use the CommandBook Customizer to remove any commands that you don't want. That is one of my favorite features of this package -- and (IMO) something that sets it above all the others.

.. and something so many people completely miss.

    [edit] removed non sequitur

I know about that. You didn't get the point of my post. reread.

You're right. Yours was a developer-type question not a 'you broke my banz' issue. My post still stands... but it just doesn't work as a response :)

    @sk89q
Is it possible to somehow deny effect of teleportation commands on list of players.
    Something like permission node 'commandbook.tp.denyon.PlayerName'

It is because some moderators like to tp to me or they can put me in other place >:O

I am trying to control what my admins can spawn with the blacklist, but even though I give them

    -commandbook.override.any-item

They can still get all the blacklisted items. Anyone know what could be wrong?

It works if I test it on someone who isn't an admin, but for them they seem to bypass it.

Edit: Seems like some other things aren't working either.

The permission commandbook.weather.* for example doesn't give any weather commands. I need to specify both commandbook.weather and commandbook.weather.thunder

Yeah, the blacklist didn't seem to work for me either. I blocked TNT and flint and tinder, but my ops still somehow get them.

Can we get a config option to disable the motd? I removed the command but it still displays it upon login. I then cleared the motd but it still shows the player count =/

You can customize the download in any way you want so just don't download the motd part of the plugin.

  24. Offline

    Lukeroge

I did, it only removes the command, the motd still runs on startup.

Having both at the same time is a no no. They basically do some of the same feature but both have features the others don't. Being good and bad for some servers. Like mine. :) So I stick with commandbook.

    Jeyge

That kind of negates the usefulness of removing motd from the download. :) I'm sorry the suggestion didn't work. I hadn't tried it myself but sure enough, it still shows the motd. I guess you will have to remove the message from the config file.

Same problem. I even gave specific permissions for every type of mob as well as 'commandbook.spawnmob.many' and they still can't use it at all.

Question: Maybe I am missing something bytm can I unlock the time?

edit* Just when I pressed "Post reply" I thought that I might be able to set the time forward, which also might start the clock again. And it did! So I answered my own question :)

You can remove all the text from the motd section in the config and then nothing will show after doing so.

  30. Offline

    Lukeroge

It still shows the playerlist, which would normally be at the end of the motd =/

Did you remove the "motd:" part itself? If not, do that, if you did, then :(
