Question Searching new Server

    Hi guys,
    first of all, I want to excuse myself for my english skills :DD.
    I´ve built a new Computer. Now I have hardware too much (
    i7-3770
    P8H77-M Le
    16gb ram)
    I want to build a Home server, on which I want to host a small Minecraft Server and a few network harddrives.
    Which other components would you prefer? Which os?

    For components, a good ISP.
    For OS, some distro of Linux. Some will be better than others. Just look at the OSs that most server hosts use.

    The biggest factor affecting home servers is the Internet connection speed. What is your download/upload speed? You also should have a wired connection, not wireless.
