Way to remove thousands of mobs?

    Someone on my server spawned thousands of pigs (3000+ we think, though there may have been an extra 0 ¬¬), and it was hilarious, until we realised it's so laggy (something like 1 frame per 40 seconds), that we can't place lava etc. to remove them. So we are a bit stuffed, and it's inside a building we spent ages on, and wouldn't want to remove.

    We've tried changing mobs to false in server properties, which hasn't worked.

    So please help, is there a mod that will clear 1000's of pigs? or an easily changeable config file that will do the same?

    Worldedit has //butcher and you can put a variable in that to kill all mobs in that range.

    Failing that, pop the map into MCEdit and delete the entities in that area.

    this recently happend to me and i had to delete my server world and start a new one try something simple like /remove Pigs 3000

    Try disabling mobs and enabling them again next time if it is too laggy or it crashes :)
