    Plugin category: Fun

    Suggested name: QuestionTime

What I want: I'd like to have staff with the command /qt to be able to ask all server members a random question and which ever member gets it right first, wins a small prize weather it's cash, exp, or an item.

For an example; a staff member wants to start a question that all players are free to answer. Said member types "/qt ask" then a response from the plugin says "[QuestionTime] What is the question you'd like to ask?". Then the member types WITHOUT a slash "Who is the president of the United States?". The plugin will then send the member this "[QuestionTime] What is the answer for your question?" then you type in "Joe Biden". After that the plugin will send the member "[QuestionTime] What is the reward you'd like to give out?" and the member types "5 Diamond". Finally, the plugin will broadcast "[QuestionTime] Who is the president of the United States? (2nd line) Reward: 5 Diamonds!"

    Etc. Rewards -
    500 Money
    10 Apple
    1000 Exp

    Ideas for commands:
/qt ask - Startup a question for members
/qt cancel - Cancel current question

    Ideas for permissions:
    qt.ask
    qt.cancel

When I'd like it by: This month, I honestly don't mind when.

How would the player answer the question? Do they type a command or say it aloud?

Oh forgot to add that! The player answers the question just by saying the answer "Joe Biden" in chat. Saying it aloud.

@MarcusBG May I suggest that the player types a command first? If a mod asks it in the middle of a discussion, everyone will immediately get it wrong.

@pie_flavor So a command to join the queue of players answering?
    -=- Edit -=-
Do you want it to display's the players message in chat, or tell them that it is wrong and don't send the message to chat?

I was thinking that the plugin doesn't tell them they're wrong, only if they're correct. When the player answers the with the right message, the plugin will announce "[QuestionTime] %player% has answered the question correctly!" or something along those lines.

I'm indecisive with that question. Can you decide for me? I like both ideas haha.

Yes it should display the player's messages in chat because only 1 player is getting the reward for it.

No it shouldn't because each question will have a 30 second timer attached to it so when the timer ends, you can no longer answer.

I do it, but I will have some problems with part to give items. However, I will start working tomorrow.
The plugin will have some limitations related to items, for example, you can give 1 type of item per question.
I hope I make this sucessfully.
If someone already took the request, please tell me.

EDIT: @MarcusBG there is already a plugin with the features you are asking for! Please tell me if it does not fit your request.

No, this is not what I'm looking for at all. Sorry. I would like to be able to ask questions and have players rewarded for it if they say the right answer.

Do you still need it? If no just stop reading here.
    • Should the questions survive a restart/reload?
    • Should you be able to reward the item you are holding in your hand with all the data (Name, Lore, enchantments, whatever)?
    • Do you use Java 7 or 8?
    • How similar must the anwer be? Would "joe biden" be right? Would "joebiden" be right? Would "jo biden" be right?
    • Do the players have as much tries as they want?
