Plugin category: Fun Suggested name: DeathRecap What I want: So basically Death Recap would consist of showing after you have died a recap of what had killed you leading up to your death. Exactly like this plugin: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/death-recap/ just that the plugin spams with errors since it's inactive, and would like someone to make a new one from scratch. Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin. Ideas for permissions: No permissions needed for this plugin. When I'd like it by: Anytime.
@XxDawnsusxX Plugins don't spam with errors for no reason, and inactive doesn't mean much since the latest version for the plugin is still 1.7.9. Devs won't make something when the something already exists, so your first course of action should be to try to figure out why the plugin that does exactly what you're asking for doesn't work, and try to make it work.
@XxDawnsusxX A great idea would be to list your Minecraft version (and probably Java version) on the request, seeing as how that kind of makes a giant difference.
That's understandable, but yeah i'm using Spigot 1.8.8, and i'm pretty sure the server is using Java 8
plugin working for me on java 8 and spigot 1.8.8 (same as your setup). you must have plugin conflict.
The plugin does not check if the array list that contains the entities that have damaged said player is empty. It also uses an outdated DamageCause method which has changed in spigot 1.8.8. I looked at the code. @ebildude123 says it works fine without other plugins though so maybe there is something causing the array list to be empty? Idk. I just know the reason the errors are showing up is because of that. I coded a fix but I already tried releasing it once in here but a mod deleted my post saying it wasn't allowed.
