I'm guessing you're on Mac? According to my Google searches, it says to either update your OS X or downgrade your Java. Which version of OS X are you running right now?
@Boomer Would OP need to have at least Java 7 to run Spigot 1.8.8? Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) only allows for Java 6, though there's a "hacky" way to install Java 7 on it. Will @JamieTLM need to do this? @JamieTLM Is there no way you can get Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks/Yosemite/El Capitan?
What didn't work? Installing it? Running your server after successfully installing it? You need to be more specific.
How did you downgrade to Java 7 if Snow Leopard 10.6.8 doesn't even support Java 8 xD Did you get the same error as you originally did?
Yes I did Anything else I need to tell u? EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
@oceantheskatr Well, I'm not really sure about what your saying. Sorry, but I can get a bit confused sometimes
@oceantheskatr Yeah. Sorry, I haven't been feeling good for a while, so my brain isn't doing that good xD But yeah, I can't upgrade my OS, it says there is no update available :/
You have to download the new version in the app store, it doesn't show up in the updates section since it's a complete new operating system. The past few have been free, so you should be able to get the latest that your computer supports for free. Which Mac do you have? Model/year?
Late to the party.. .spigot itself requires java 6, it is just some plugins that have been compiled to require java 7 or higher like the pseudo-Essentials. Not enough information from user as to context of those error messages, it could be from a customer loader or during the phase of a plugin loading, or m ay be the core server itself..
@Boomer Hmm, well if that's the case then @JamieTLM follow this video to build a version of Spigot yourself, which is really easy to do This will ensure that you're using a version that is legitimate and not a fake.
@oceantheskatr Nope, didn't work. I am on a mac.. so.. I am stuck on 1:18 Any help please? Please help. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
@JamieTLM Thought I would hop back in, When you say won't work, define 'won't work', Errors, Not starting etc.
I couldn't do what was at 1:18 :/ Please help. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
