Could you at least release the source? I'd at least like to take a look at it, and even if I can't fix it perhaps someone else could.

I second this. Discovered it like 2 weeks ago, built multiplayer instances with boss fights (based on :spawn and :twire).... Sooner or later, these won't work any more. Many, many hours work for nothing.

I would also be willing to try to support this plugin for future releases. Could you release the source?

    imjake9

Wait, I just realized, the source is in the JAR.
Seems fairly straight forward... I might look into it.

    Try Gitgub
    Code:
    https://github.com/Hafnium72/PailStone

This will be great, if u can fix some current and feature issues with this amazing plugin man ;)

Anybody changed code yet? Might make sense to share work/resources... Maybe we could create an "official fork" on Github.

  10. The Plugin works on Bukkit 733/740 we have it on our server

I hope someone takes this up, I seriously don't want it to stop working.

Looks like all of haf's plugins are inactive, which is a shame they were some of my favourite. The Pailstone page is also down.

Hope to see this going again soon.

Yeah, if you guys want the source, check your most recent jar files. The github source is quite old.

If there aren't plugins that cover the features pailstone covers in a few months (when the USA hits summer vacation) I'll pick it up again.

I honestly prefer PailStone over the FalseBook IC stuff. Easier for me to use.

I don't know if anyone will care, but I've set up a fork of PailStone that I may not update much, but will at least keep an eye on and add small features. You can find it here:
    https://github.com/imjake9/PailStone
I also updated it so it matches the source code in the JAR, not what was previously on git.

Could you make a new thread, and compile it? :)

  19. Offline

    imjake9

I will if people really think I should, but for such small updates, I won't. It's not like PailStone's broken, I'm just changing minor things.
As for a compiled JAR, can do! Here.

    but2002

Well the issue is that an "Unsupported" plugin won't catch any attention, and will only be noticed by people watching the thread.

    imjake9

That's true, but even so, I won't do anything now. If I add a large update, or the situation changes, I will. But for now, posting an entirely new thread with such a minor change could be taken as being rude to the original developer.
If Hafnium personally gives permission, then it'd be different. But until then, I'm sorry, but I won't do it.

On another topic, now that I'm trying to help out this plugin, have any ideas? I'm not going to tackle the whole "Dropping signs" thing, at least not until I understand the plugin better. However, minor changes could be done. Currently, I've done:
    • :set signs now have a block whitelist/blacklist, settable in the config file. This allows you to stop people from spawning diamond blocks, for example.
    • Also, :set signs' direction parameter is no longer case-sensitive. Feel free to type nOrTh, for all I care.
    TODO:
    • Apply the same changes to :cuboid.

I see your point. Now on a random note.. Eonz.net is apparantly a phishing site now? It was blocked by OpenDNS

  23. Offline

    imjake9

No, it just seems Hafnium removed all the pages from the site, so it gives a generic 404 page. That's probably being detected as phishing...

...on another note, why did you do that, Hafnium? Some of us are still using your plugin. :)

The plugin will perchance come back...it just appears that not enough time was able to be given to development but that may change shortly...don't discount it yet.

(Yes it is still being worked on. He started re-developing it recently but there is no ETA at all. I'm just telling you this because it is unlikely that this thread will be checked. I will direct Hafnium here to confirm/deny this or just have a chat to you about your changes, imjake9).

ETA is one week. PailStone Official will be back in one week. Summer vacation man. Feels good.

Its actually working already, total revamp. Just need to integrate permissions and set up the website.

Great job Hafnium! Works well, it seems - just tested on out server.

I would like to see a rivival of :SEND again :) Although it is not too important.

    Best regards,
    ronix.

Send and Recv are in 3.0 and working just as before. I wouldn't even consider cutting those two.

Arg, I meant DISP - sorry, my brain shorted out just recently.

Ahh, forgot about DISP. I'll have it working within 24 hours.

edit: Gah, and trigger too! grrr
