    Suggested name: Invisible Blocks

    Description: I want this plugin to allow me to place down blocks and make them invisible but still have the block in existence. For example, if I have a glowstone block and I want to still have light, but not have a block appear, I can do the steps listed below and the light will still be there, except the blocks visibility will disappear. I also need it so players cannot walk through the blocks either. This plugin will also have to be dependent on WorldEdit so I can do select the region I want to become invisible with //wand.

    Commands: These will be the steps in making the block invisible:
    1. /ib create {name}
    2. (Select the region with //wand)
    3. /ib enable {name}
    4. /ib disable {name}

    Permission: ib.admin (This will allow the player access to all the /ib commands above)

    imyussy The lighting and invisible glowstone is a tricky one, we need to hide the glowstone then put back a light source.

    Oh... I really only need this plugin for my parkour map because the death id is glowstone and I don't want the glowstone to be visible because it will look bad. If the light doesn't show, then that's fine. As long as they can't walk through the block I'm cool with it.

    imyussy In my signature: BlockHider, no region support though, it will generate a readme on startup

    SuperBoy1097 15987632 Yes, indeed. Block 36 is not a solid block, and it is really glitchy anyway.

    UnwrittenPaper Thank you so much for replying! Would you be able to make this plugin for me? I would really appreciate it and I think a lot of other people will use this plugin too if you create it. Thank you, imyussy

    imyussy what about this?
    you never gave him a result

    Oh ya. I forgot to tell him. But his plugin didn't fit my needs because it only made 1 block invisible at a time

    imyussy No, sorry. I can't code.

    You should try timtower 's plugin BlockHider, though.

    Edit: Yes, you can only make one block invisible at a time, and even then, it's still quite glitchy/buggy, but further, no developer can go, my friend.

    A plugin that offers invisible blocks has been requested a bazillion times, but never accomplished. Use timtower 's plugin, or just leave it.

    Another idea is to have a server texture pack with one uncommon block to have no texture, thus being invisible. ;)

    You can also use WorldGuard's (requires WorldEdit) entry or exit flag to have sort of 'invisible walls'. Doesn't work with flooring, though. It makes you glitch really bad.

    G
    good thought for using a texture pack but I wouldn't be sure everyone would use it. And I can't use timtower plugin because I need to change a couple thousand blocks to become invisible . But I'll try to find a different developer to do this for me or try to find an alternative solution

    These are basically your alternatives:
    1. Use timtower 's plugin.
    2. Run a modded server with an invisible blocks mod.
    3. Run a Minecraft 1.8 server (can't use CraftBukkit, then!) and use Barrier blocks!
    4. Make one type of block invisible in your server resource pack (you can force players to use a resource pack.)
    5. Use WorldGuard's entry and exit flags.
    6. Wait ages to find a developer that will put ages of his or her life creating this plugin and dedicating it just for you (and maybe some other people would've used it as well, who knows?)
    7. Try using McEdit filters to create invisible blocks! Like SethBling's invisible chests or invisible iron doors method.
    8. Or perhaps try this method.

    Or, or, or:
    Making thousands of blocks invisible with using WorldEdit will lag, and if not crash, the server horribly.

    Depends on how you do it.
    imyussy While actually thousands of blocks?

    Thank you so much for all of your suggestions but I think the easiest way is to ask @timtower 's if he could add WorldEdit support to his plugin. But again, thank you!

    World Guard: no.
    World Edit: That is something I might look at.

    Oops, sorry I meant to write WorldEdit. Not World Guard. My bad

  26. timtower Yeah you should add it to BlockHider it is a nice plugin and would be amazing with WorldEdit support.

    imyussy bwfcwalshy Added WorldEdit support. Please check the readme for details.
    Also: for additional unhiding protection: install protocollib. Then you will be able to make invisible pressure plates that still function fine.

    bwfcwalshy imyussy Do need to warn you guys though: I have no idea what will happen if you start hiding large area's etc. I only tested my plugin with a small amount of blocks.

    timtower I just tried installing it and I got an error. I think it was because it might not be up to date because thats what it says on the first line in the error. If not, please try to let me know why I'm getting this error. Thank you, imyussy
