Solved How can you make a plugin atm?

Hey so im an old plugin developer and i was wondering, since you cannot download craftbukkit anymore, how can you make a plugin or create a server at the moment? Im sorry if the title is a little bit off, im not good at explaining stuff...

 

Most of us still have craftbukkit.

Bukkit is the api (for plugins), and Craftbukkit is the server mod.

 

is it illegal if i send him my copy?

 

I am not sure about the whole legality of the situation, but lets face it, everyone is doing it.

 

You can grab the GitHub repository and compile it manually.

techboy291 You could, but you could also just download it from this site - Bukkit has not been taken down.

 

If it is possible to download Bukkit from this website, I do not see the problem in asking for it. Anyway, I removed my post as some people are somewhat holy I suppose.

 

klosjaarrr Bukkit is legal, yes. CraftBukkit is not. People are free to share Bukkit around but, as you can download it here, why would you? It's CraftBukkit that cannot be distributed.

AdamQpzm Oh, oops. I tried downloading the latest dev build for the Bukkit API before posting and it didn't work, so I assumed all of them were like that.
