I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

Hey there! Awesome plugin you've made! ;)

Now its time for us to upgrade some plugins, and I wanna make sure if permissions 2.7 work well with latest LogBlock version? Right now i use permissions 2.5.5 with LB 0.12, which works like a charm.
Thanks for all your awesome work! :D

Not possible yet, will come with commands update
    The consumer isn't working.
    Try "useBukkitScheduler: false"
Even tested and found LB v0.13 working with Permissions v2.7
    You are missing a linebreak.
Hm, this issue exists actually only with LB v0.12 (fixed afterwards). When that happens immediately at server start, you maybe should restart you MySQL server and make sure it allows more than 10 connections.

i updated to .13 and it solves all my problems XD you're a king among men for developing this plugin :p two requests however.... you may not be interested but a option fire spread and disabling tnt/creeper explosions but leaving damage would cause me to get rid of worldguard and edit and save me a ton of room/plugin space :p food for thought... still i couldnt run my server without LogBlock and Big Brothers too bulky and eats up too much space.. thank you!

    Try:
    loggedWorlds:
    - world
    - nether
    tables:
    - lb-main
    - lb-nether

I don't know, I think it's better to leave such things to dedicated plugins.
Maybe someone could write a WorldGuard light version.

This usually a problem with the config file. Rename it, let a new one autocreate and set the datas again.

Just thought I'd mention I upgraded to 1.3, set bukkitscheduler to false and Logbook has been working perfectly for me now, the days of 20,000 long queues and having to do manual saves, losing on crashing etc has all gone away :)

A big thank you Diddiz :)

Wrote a simple super pickaxe plugin. Even if it has fewer feature like WorldEdit's super pickaxe, it is loggable!

At least it showed that the queue is robust :D

Then you probably entered wrong data for the MySQL server connection.

    DiddiZ

Of course. You could post the config regarding to mysql and whar you normally use to connect to mysql, or contact me via skype (username is on the webpage).

How do I clear my table and start fresh?

    Hey,

Do you think you could extend the "/lb rollback selection" so we can rollback changes of one user only inside the selection please ? That would be awesome. Because "playerarea" is sometimes hard to setup with different people building underground and overground at the same spot for example :)

Thanks for your work, it's great :)

Not sure what happened, but bedrock isn't being removed after placing it anymore. I'm sure it's not lag :p

    Use backticks to escape: `lb-main`
Hm, interesting. I removed the config entry, since it was rather pointless, and the bedrock should be removed always now. When the block history appears, the block place event should be cancelled. Hm, maybe a plugin removes the cancelled flag ...

Errcode 13 means permission denied. You mysql user probably has no rights to write to the bukkit folder.

    Rich Boos

Hmm, same user for both MySQL and the OS (and of course its not root). This user has permission to write to the bukkit folder since I was able to create everything to date, and it is working for MySQL since the tables are populated with logs.
