Weird characters?

Hello guys,
I am busy with my bukkit server and my parents are divorced.
I transport my server via the internet.
at my dad I play on a windows and at my mom on a MacOX.
This caused a problem. What problem? Well when I rename an item in my server, with colors I get a colored name on the MAC, it looks normal. But when I transport the server to my windows I get some weird characters before the item's name. it looks like this: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2llzt44&s=5
I don't understand how I can fix this. HELP :S

Make sure the Windows box uses Unicode?

What codes do you use when setting colors? (& §)

 

The truth is harsh.

 

ive managed a server for atleast a year and i have no idea what zipfe means.
if a file is encoded in utf-8, it stays encoded in utf-8.

This is a bit rude, I have runned a server before on a DNS, and I am not english, so you don't have to be rude.
This is a helping page, so you should help and not bringing people down.

ON the mac I use § and on windows &. although, first off I did not have weird characters, the problem came later.

FutureCraft Have you updated to 1.6? Can you recall what you changed before it started occurring?

 

Yes I am on 1.6.2 atm

\u00A72 = Dark Green
\u00A73 = Dark Cyan
\u00A74 = Dark Red
\u00A75 = Purple
\u00A76 = Orange
\u00A77 = Light Grey
\u00A78 = Dark Grey

\u00A7a = Light Green
\u00A7b = Light Cyan
