Question about server hardware

    At the moment I'm running the server on a 2.6ghz singlecore processor. If I upgrade to a rig with a quadcore 2.4ghz, will it run better? Does Craftbukkit utilize more than 1 core?

    Hello,

    Yes if you upgrade from a single core to a quad core it would run better yes. I believe theres scripts you can write for a bat file to make it use more than one core.

    I believe the only thing you can change in the .bat is the amount of memory allotted, I believe I read somewhere that bukkit runs additional add-ons on additional cores.
