    Hi,
I've just recently started my own server, and the players have been complaining for being kicked for "Disconnect.spam". It is because of chat, but it could just be when player put two sentences after each other, not actual spam. Here is a full list of the plugins on the server:

BKCommonLib, BringBackTheEnd, CCPlugin, ChunkOwn, CreeperControl, ElementalSwords, Essentials, EssentialsChat, EssentialsSpawn, GameModeInventories, JoinMessagev1.5, LogBlock, LWC, MyWorlds, NoCheatPlus, NoGriefers, NoLagg, PermissionsEx, Pigasus, PlotMe, TimTheEnchanter, Timeismoney, Vault, Worldedit, Worldguard, ZavAutoMessager

NCP isn't showing anything in the logs, and I couldn't find anything concerning spam in the Essentials config. I'd really like to know what plugin is causing this and how to keep it from happening. Much thanks,
    Jack.

I also checked in NoGriefers and there is nothing chat or spam related.

If someone could please answer, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am having similar issues. I think it is coming from minecraft itself, Craftbukkit use to fix it but now it looks like it is broken again. Also may be due to CPU load, but still looking into it.

I am also having this problem. My server has 20 ticks/second and if people type 3 or 4 lines within 30 seconds they get kicked with "disconnect.spam" as the kick message. I wish I knew why this is happening.

It's NoCheatPlus they have a spamguard

NoCheatPlus wont kick with reason: "Disconnect.spam" so it must be something else then that. Also NC+ would warn you in the console with [NoCheatPlus] blabla got kicked blabla. "Disconnect.spam" is the inbuilt "SpamGuard" of Minecraft itself.

@aadnk suspects BKCommonLib to cause this issue so I would recommend to take a look at this: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/n...ocheatplus-keeps-kicking-players-for-spam/#c1

No this is a feature of vanilla minecraft and can not be fixed. The player is "kicked" when you are suspected of spamming.

  7. Yes but BKCommonLib seems to be influencing it, not sure they fixed it already. See what MyPictures linked above.

Remove BKCommonLib or BeTheMob if you have them. Those are both reported as causing the problem.

The plugin author is recklessly playing with the internals of CraftBukkit without adequately testing, and is breaking your servers. This dangerous development approach and breaking of servers has been ongoing for months. I would suggest finding new plugins to replace those using BKCommonLib.

Hi, iv'e been having the same problems on my server, i have confirmed that the problem is the new craftbukkit update with its built in spam guard. My server has been up for nearly a year now and everything has been fine until two days ago when i updated to the new version of craftbukkit. If a players says three lines within thirty seconds the player gets kicked with "Disconnect.Spam"... I guess everyone with a server will just have to wait until the next bukkit update for this to be fixed.
