    @Tealk

I downloaded the config.yml from one of the links in the artifactory and it was bunk. I simply deleted it and let Essentials generate one and all is working well now.

  3. I'm having a problem building/breaking blocks on the nether. I have the right permissions, yet unable to place anything or break anything. It's the same if I use a portal or the command '/world nether'.

Nether is set to use the same yml file my main world does in permissions.

    MC 1.3
    Permissions 2.5.4
    Essentials 244

    yea this fix the bug^^

  5. Just updated to Essentials 2.0.298 and it's still the same. Not able to build or destroy in nether.

I'm also running World edit 4.2 and it's super pickaxe is able to break blocks, but no build.

I removed ALL plugins, except for...

    Essentials.jar
    EssentialsChat.jar
    EssentialsSpawn.jar

I also portaled to the nether and back again repeatedly, but still not able to destroy/build.

    I've a suggestion.
Could you please add an option to clear inventory of users used /spawn please.
Or at least a /suicide command, though that won't be very helpful for my server

No essentials will load on CB 544..
Only plugins in plugins folder are Essentials and Permissions.. No error message, just doesn't load..

I can't check servers config file, as on this hosting account I only, and I do mean ONLY, have access to the plugins folder

Is there any way to turn off EssentialsEco? Because i have BOSEconomy installed, and it's hard work to maintain two economy plugins.

  9. I'm running essentials on 544. The only problem I have is not able to break blocks/build on the nether. Everything else works that I've tried.

Tried deleting the nether and allowing Essentials to recreate it.
Portaled there and back a few times. Still not able to break/build.
I tried on an Admin account and a normal player account.

EDIT: Fixed by removing permissions and using essentials group manager.

So, what is the deal with the /world command? Looking at the source it looks like it only supports the "normal" world and nether, but not multiple worlds as claimed. Typing /world 0 or 1 both take me to nether, and typing /world [specific] throws an invalid world command. Is this intended or was something borked that you are unaware of?

    Hi,

I wrote a wrapper for Minecraft servers so that I could run it in a hosting environment. One of the things my wrapper does is issue a "list" command periodically, so that it can see whether the server has gone senile. (If it doesn't get an answer, it assumes the server has at least partially crashed, which is always the case.)

This plugin alters the output of the list command in a way that breaks my wrapper. I was wondering if there was any way to send a "raw" command to the server that bypasses the plugin, e.g. /#list (which is how hMod handled that.)

If not, could you maybe add a command like /rawlist that just gives us the usual list output, ideally without color codes? Thanks. I'm getting about 40 people set up with plugins, and this is one of the most important ones.

I'm with Moronmaster, I want Essentials without the Eco plugin (and jail too) (I have IConomy installed)

I remember a few weeks ago, there was 1 jar for EACH plugin (eco, jail, tele etc...)

Why did you change that ? It was so much easier.
Now by installing Essentials we get a all package of like 5 or 6 plugins.....

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I've had issues with lag spikes when players log out. So I changed "reclaim-onlogout:" from true to false and it fixed it.

Is anyone else having a similar issues? What can cause a lag spike on memory reclaim on log outs?

Hi there, can anyone confirm essentials-eco (since its integrated now) does not conflict with iConomy? since essentials wont give us chest-shops I will need to migrate.

My test server can't handle MySQL you see... otherwise I would test it myself.

    @rwckai plugins/essentials/config.yml

    PS:
Practially all plugins have configurations like this, plugins/[pluginname]/config.yml, or settings/yml
Advise: hop over to cb 556 (recommended build)

I am currently having an issue with the Spawn Protection portion of the plugin. I have it set to false but its still not alloing me to edit the area. I moved the spawn point to ensure that was the problem and it is indeed. I have changed the setting to true and back to false with complete reload of the server inbetween each.

When i first implemented this mod i had no issues. The only changed i made was to the permissions yml and that was to limit the permissions of my friends. I have renamed the config.yml in essentials folder so it would generate a clean copy of the file, same thing. Not sure what to go to next.

    Essentials Config.yml
    Code:

    # +------------------------------------------------------+ #
    # | Notes | #

    # If you want to use special characters in this document, such as accented letters, you MUST save the file as UTF-8, not ANSI.
    # If you receive an error when Essentials loads, ensure that:
    # - No tabs are present: YAML only allows spaces
    # - Indents are correct: YAML heirarchy is based entirely on indentation
    # - You have "escaped" all apostrophes in your text: If you want to write "don't", for example, write "don''t" instead (note the doubled apostrphe)
    # - List items are prefixed with a hyphen and indented:
    # lists:
    # - look like this
    # not:
    # - like this
    # - Text with symbols is enclosed in single or double quotation marks
    # - CraftBukkit and Permissions have been updated: CraftBukkit and Essentials almost always line up, but sometimes other plugins fall behind CraftBukkit's multiple daily updates
    # - You have saved the document as UTF-8, NOT the default, ANSI

When will Essentials be able to run on 556?

I have cb 544 installed, and after a server crash and some recovering I suddenly can't change the server time anymore, it says I don't have the permissions, even though I have groupmanager installed and have ALL permissions ('*'). What THE HELL ?

Sent a small donation just now.
Message: Please expand on the essentials economy part of the plugin :) I'll gladly send a couple more bucks your way if you do. :) Great plugin thanks.

  24. Great plugin, does almost everything I need. With groupmanager as a replacement for permissions, this seems the perfect start for any server.

Is essentialspawn an exactspawn? Do new players also spawn on that exact location?

    Thanks!

Have either of you been able to get groupmanager working properly? I can't get anything in the cheat section to work for people unless they are in ops.txt which gives the god access to everything. This includes /give and /time. Neither will function for people who are in groups that explicitly have both permissions assigned to them (essentials.give and essentials.time).

    Heres my setup

    Essentials.jar
    Essentialsprotect.jar
    Essentialsspawn.jar

And my permission plugin is Permissions 2.5.4

    All works mint and perfect.
Try using Permissions 2.5.4 instead of group manager or whatever you are using.

sorry if it's already been said but i get this error whenever i try to use /tp /home /spawn etc.
    it states
"Error: Time until next teleport: 1 second"
i'm sure it's just something i've messed up in config but help would be appreciated

I use Permissions as well. I just couldn't get groupmanager to work with some of my plugins, even with teh FakePermissions going.
