I cant enter my server(only rarely)

I installed my server and did the portforwarding and allready set up the files and also installed some plugins but i can only rarely accses my server (ok im using the same pc but it cant be that i think)
because i cant use localhost in minecraft i use my ip and it takes always verry long and the i t says:
Took to long to log in or
Internal client error: java.netconnectExeption: Connenction timed out: connect
but i can rarely acces the server like normal
any help??

 

Why can't you use localhost?

 

The authentication server is having issues the past few days. You need to set your server to offline mode. However anyone can connect under your user name as well, so it is not recommended for public servers.

 

This is'nt because of Bukkit, its minecraft.net servers and reason of this you can read at http://notch.tumblr.com/

Hmm, try changing online-mode to false in server.properties.

 

it says connection refused...

so what happens if i change it to false will it be just unaccsesable to others ??

 

Shouldn't be. Just doesn't verify names with Mojang. (Not recommended for online usage because this would let anyone with a modified client connect under any name they liked - including an op's.)
