I really enjoy this plugin, it's a lifesaver. I am having a few issues, though. I'm relatively new to Minecraft, especially running a server, so if it's something simple I just don't realize I apologize and please bear with me. For some reason, I can't get the home permissions working.

    - essentials.delhome
    - essentials.home
    - essentials.sethome

The /delhome works as far as I can tell, but /sethome and /home also don't work. Is there something simple I'm doing wrong? Any troubleshooting help?

Also, if it means anything they're working for OPs

tylertrash: do /esethome and /ehome work? if yes, another plugin takes /home and /sethome, and you should list plugins so i can find the overrider.

    # When a command conflicts with another plugin, by default, Essentials will try to force the OTHER plugin to take
    # priority. If a command is in this list, Essentials will try to give ITSELF priority. This does not always work:
    # usually whichever plugin was updated most recently wins out. However, the full name of the command will always work.
    # For example, if WorldGuard and Essentials are both enabled, and WorldGuard takes control over /god, /essentials:god
    # will still map to Essentials, whereas it might normally get forced upon WorldGuard. Commands prefixed with an "e",
    # such as /egod, will always grant Essentials priority.
    # We should try to take priority over /god. If this doesn't work, use
    # /essentials:god or /egod. If god is set using WorldGuard, use /ungod to remove then use whichever you see fit.

Oh wow. I really wouldn't have thought of that.
After checking the permission nodes for some of my other plugins, it's Jcommands that's taking default. Thank you so much for your help, you're a lifesaver. :)

Don't know if this has already been asked but, is there any problem with the essentials.chat.spy? Because it worked fine before updating my server to 1.3, and now it just doesn't work :(

I'm using the latest version of Essentials, PEX, and Bukkit 1.3.1 R2.0. Thanks in advance for any help!

It seems like the latest dev build is breaking permissionsex prefixes/suffix and enters the prefixes in the player tab list.. I don't like that because this is braking my costum plugin for my server....

Hi, I need your help with Essentials. I set up jail, created jails and tried to jail one player. When i put him into jail (/tjail) he was imprisoned and /tjail again releases him, but jail effect still aplies (he can't write and move, so even log in). In jail config he is registered as free. Our server runs Essentials 2.9.3 and it is CB 1.3.1-R2.0

    hi there!!
i am working with orange451 on a plugin, and its based on the Citizens libraries. basically it creates little fake ppl that you can fight or tame.

problem is, every time it creates one, its creating a player file in essentials. our 2 hours of testing created 1766 player files!! now i admin we need to work on spawn rates, but even so, is there a way to keep essentials from detecting and creating profile??

thank you in advance for any help

    Hi.
    I have a problem.
I did the command /setspawn builder.
Then I tried to go to the spawn when my rank was builder, but it sended me to the default spawn.
How can I fix this? I'm using YAPP (Yet Another Permissions Plugin)..
    Please help :)

    Necrodoom

Mariskaaa try change use-bukkit-permissions: false to true in essentials config.yml, also does YAPP allow multiple group? make sure theres only one group on you.

  22. Offline

    Mariskaaa

necrodoom I already have use-bukkit-permissions: true, and I have only one group on me. It still doesn't work.

    Necrodoom

to make sure essentials actually gets the groups from YAPP, try set a {GROUP} tag in esschat format and see if it shows correct group.

  24. Offline

    Mariskaaa

necrodoom Lol, sorry if I sound dumb, but what do you mean ? I use the plugins Essentials, Essentials Spawn and Essentials Protect from Essentials, not Essentials Chat

  25. Offline

    Necrodoom

well, i want to make sure YAPP actually tells essentials what group you are, since you said typing /spawn sends to default spawn instead to builder spawn.

  26. Offline

    Mariskaaa

Ah okay, now I get it. Do I need Essentials Chat for that? And how do I do that?

  27. Offline

    Necrodoom

esschat is one way to test this, because {GROUP} tag prints the group.

  28. Offline

    Mariskaaa

Okay, I have EssentialsChat installed, what do I have to do now ?

  29. Offline

    Necrodoom

go format, put in {GROUP}. /essentials reload, talk, see if your YAPP rank shows up.

Ah okay, and where can I find the format thingy? In the Essentials Config ?
