I had an idea for a great PVP game. Basically you start with a prebuilt map and you pick a team. Then you fight, say 10 v 10 or so. But the way you win is destroying a set percentage of the enemy's base as well as killing them. Now here's the cool bit: the enemy base health is shown as a boss health bar at the top of the screen titled "Enemy" and your team's base's health is shown on the XP bar! Possibly titled "Team" but I dunno if that's possible. The collective health of your team's base falls as blocks are destroyed. (Maybe your particular wool color? Red team and blue team kind of thing?) Evem better, multiverse compatible so it can be run alongside a survival server. But not mandatory. Who could do that?
I've been thinking for a while on how to use the boss health, and the only thing I can think of is spawning in a boss with ## health points and killing it, repeating the process over again. Any other ways? as I do believe the purple boss bar is client side.
Well yea but this method would still be inconvenient in so many ways. Even if the dragon is not seen by players. Especially if you want different bars for two players who are right next to each other. It would be a glitchy and laggy solution I think.
I would just suggest doing chat messages of the base's health instead of bars and such. Or have the exp bar as your base, but each time you destroy the teams base, it sends you message of their health.
