I get bad login every time I try joining my own server. How do I solve this?

    Online-mode=true;
Otherwise, keep your ip blank and connect with localhost.

    Alright. It's connected already. Thanks.
But now I have another problem. I've set the map to flat and creative yet I get a normal map and it's survival. What's wrong?

Edit: Ok now I've reset my whole server and the server is now set to creative (manually through the server.properties since it appears in the log that a survival map is created even though I've clicked on creative in the AutoBukkitServer). Again I can't connect back cause it's saying that I'm not white-listed on the server.
And checking back the log, I notice that it's saying that permission.yml is empty and it's ignored. What's the permissiom.yml for?

Edit: I've set white-list: false and now it's working. Thanks. It's a good auto server builder. Handy indeed. :D

I don't know, never tried anything below 10.6... Try it, worst it can do is give an error;p Maybe. /me is not liable for anything that happens

    Have you port forwarded?

Hi! I just installed the AutoBukkitServer and my god, it works!! I'm so happy!

Background info: I've tried using Minecraft's server and the CraftBukkit server but it never worked. The server would always show up with full green signal bars but I could never enter/log in because of "end of stream" or "java.net.sockettimedoutexception" blah blah blah. I did EVERYTHING possible -- firewalls, updated Java, erasing and reinstalling the server software, etc. When my friend tried hosting the server from his laptop in my house, using my IP address, he was able to open up the multiplayer server and we could both play. But whenever I did it, it never worked and neither of us could enter. So you can imagine how frustrated I've been since, obviously, it's something in my computer that's the problem, and not my internet/router/connection/etc.

So now for my dilemma/question. My friend and I have different schedules so we'd like to try taking turns playing in the same world. When I have free time, I want to mine and explore. When he has free time, he likes to invent and build. Since we rarely get to play together at the same time (I have yet to figure out port forwarding, let's not get into that first >_<), we thought we'd go round-robin and just send each other the updated world file after we've had our individual turns playing in it. So...

Now that I can open a multiplayer server using AutoBukkitServer, I want to replace the world folder with my old world folder (where my friend and I have already built bases, farms, etc.). How do I do that?

I tried taking out the world folder and then replacing it with my old world folder, keeping the name "world" and even stopping and reopening start_server.command, but that never worked. AutoBukkitServer never let me enter the multiplayer server whenever I tried to load the old world folder.

Please help! This is the first time I've gotten a server to work on my Macbook Pro so I'm really excited to finally get it working the way I need it to X>

    Thanks!!

    Specs:
    Macbook Pro, OS X 10.7.4
    Allocating 1G for Minecraft
    Downloaded latest Java for Mac

Oh, and when I use AutoBukkitServer, it never works with localhost. I have to "Add Server" and use my internal IP. Since IPs change, will this become a problem? [skeleton]

First of all, I'm glad it worked for you.
AutoBukkitServer is only for setting it up once. Once it generates files, you don't use it again.
You should be able to take the file you have been sending each other, replace the generated 'world' file with your existing one, and start up the server.
I have highlighted a part I found confusing. Is this still the case or did you get it working?
You can only use 'localhost' on the same machine the server is running on. For computers within your internet network, you use your internal IP. For computers elsewhere, port forward and connect with external IP.

Please let me know if there is something that I did not address or if your problem persists. Thank you for using AutoBukkitServer and have a nice day!

When anyone tries to join (including myself) it doesn't let us and gives us a 3 line message on our Minecraft screen that overlaps itself???

Oh ok thanks soo much! This is the only way Ive been able to run a bukkit server on my mac!

It says i have full signal strength but it still gives me the same error message. Do I have to do anything or will I have to wait for Mojang?
