Hello guys. The name is pretty self explanatory... But my server (welleycraft) Could need a plugin that will make you able to broadcast songs using the internet. Such as youtube songs. Someone could make one? I can pay tho ;)

Without Spout, this is impossible. Read the [READ ME FIRST].

I think that if it is a source that everybody can use, it's possible...

So wait, you need the spout client or the plugin?

No, it's not possible. I guess you didn't read the READ ME FIRST, so I'll quote it.

:3 It's a cool idea, but sadly not (yet) possible. Maybe with 1.4, who knows?

Actually, I think this is possible, but only by using some old school smoke and mirrors.
I was looking at this for my server
I never really got into java so I could be wrong, but if you can follow a link from the chat window then you should be able to trigger a link by block or button. This could then be a background html page that plays the mp3 file, or even an up front video.
This is something I have been looking into for my server, but this old dog is finding little time to learn new tricks, so your input would be welcomed.

You can't force people to open a link automatically.

the only real way is to make a plugin to issue noteblock sounds

When you have it in your server description that you will open links within the safety of the servers own website, and they agree to continue play, then how is that forcing?

He means physically. The client won't automatically open links.

if the client won't do it, how does it become possible through spout?

Because spout is a different client...

Richard Bach once said "Argue for your limitations, and sure enough they're yours".
On the other hand Debbie Allen once said "But out of limitations comes creativity".

    Time will tell A guess.

No one here ever used spout or so? I mean, come on guys,
That's what spout is all about. This is what spout can't do without the client, but can do with the client. So as long as you also use the spout client, it's possible. I suggest you visit the spout forums for this.

The person who started this plugin request has already made it clear that they do not want the plugin to require players to have spout or another client or client-side mod.

I actually have a question: If there was mod installed into Bukkit, and everyone had the art for it on there computer, would the block appear in everyones games? If not than how is there a chat pod in the bottom left corner of everyones screen, the font textures are on peoples computers, and the code is on Bukkit (or the code in your Minecraft.jar... I'm talking before 1.3.1 came out)
