When will CraftBukkit for 1.3 be released?

    With the Minecraft 1.3 release date fast approaching, a lot of people are wondering when we will be releasing a CraftBukkit Recommended Build for Minecraft 1.3. We hope this short announcement will answer those questions.

    Due to the size of the impending 1.3 update, we are unable to guarantee that we'll have a compatible CraftBukkit Recommended Build out in time for the release of Minecraft 1.3. Although we started working on the update immediately after the Minecraft 1.3 preview was made available to the public, a lot of things were added, removed and changed in Minecraft from 1.2.5 and, as such, this update requires more work than usual to get things up and running. That being said, we'll continue to do our best to get an update out within a reasonable amount of time and will likely follow our usual policy of promoting the first Recommended Build the moment we get something that compiles and runs without any testing done whatsoever.

    As we have done a significant amount of important work on CraftBukkit 1.2.5 builds since our last RB, we'll be promoting a new Recommended Build shortly. This is done so that people have a reliable, stable build to use until we can get a 1.3 compatible build out and so that everyone who relies on Recommended Builds are able to take advantage of all the fixes, improvements and so on we've done since the last 1.2.5 RB.

    With 13 dev builds in less then 3 days I just want to make sure that the entire Bukkit Team knows all the hard work and long days is very noticeable and put a very large THANK YOU out to the entire Bukkit Team for keeping us die hard players gaming thru the development phase... No One is better then Bukkit, you folks rock!

    I am using a Spigot build though (#44, i think is based off 2281), not sure if that affects it.

    Either way TPS goes from 20 to 1 over the hours

    I started using the developer 1.3.1 build 2281 and i only get one bar and it laggs a lot just so yall know.

    I've been having major performance issues as well, not quite sure what happens. Also I've gotten several instances where the whole world entity crashes and nothing but chat functions so I have to restart the server.

    Also complaints that the sound from breaking blocks lags behind the actual block break, not sure if thats CB or MC

    Hmmmmm.
    Seems these dev builds are causing more troubles than solving them.
    But still can't wait for 1.3.1 update, and after that spout 1.3.1, it keeps crashing my server like epicly due to version mismatch.

    Oh and will craftbukkit 1.3.1 implement the Server Textures option or will developers have to use the API to modify it? Got a server texture pack and wanna implement it as fast as possible.

    I apologize ahead of time for my lack of finding data but, I seem to be unable to find clear answers on a release date for a bukkit for MineCraft 1.3. I really do understand and appreciate the explanations for the delays but.... My server provider says that, until bukkit updates, you have to stay vanilla or it will revert the server back to 1.2.5. Obviously you have a great product, but I simply want clarity on just a few simple things.

    1. ETA on bukkit for minecraft 1.3
    2. What will it be called? (half the time I don't know what version you're discussing) **remember my apology for poor data finding on your site**

    Your site is very difficult for a novice to follow. Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts.

    1. When it is done. That is the only answer they will give as there is no way to tell how long it will take to get a stable release.
    2. It will be under the Recommended Builds probably as something like 1.3.1-R1.0

    This is really the main link you should bookmark. The current Recommended Build (and corresponding Minecraft version) is clearly labelled and all Development builds can be directly accessed via the "Alternate Versions" link.

    running the latest dev build and keep encountering this issue http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/same-nick-already-playing-1-3-1-more-plugins-affected.90409/

    Weather and skins also seem to be a little weird with it raining even though the weather is set to sun and player skins not loading and leaving them with the default skin. Both of these are fixed with a quick reconnect and sometimes a teleport.

    Other than that everything seems to be running alot smoother than usual with most of the plugins working perfectly

    Anyone else have one of these issues? A fix for them?

    Im running 1.3.1 from my server and ive come across a few more errors ( thought i got rid of them all when i ran it on my PC) Ok first is that whenever i try to teleport to my "creative" world it tells me that it could not teleport me (quite simply) and when i looked in the multiverse log it says one(or more) of the chunks there is corrupt and to use Chunkster to fix it. Before the update it was fine and now they are corrupted. I cant get chunkster to work any other suggestions?

    Also as many other people have said my servers RAM usage has gone way up ( 50% with just me online!!) and ive noticed that plugins that were meant to reduce lag by removing entities such as Lagbegone dont remove them anymore.

    My Portal plugin called AncientGates has ceased to work ever since i put it on my server. It no longer shows that the portals that were created even exist anymore. Ive tried updating to the latest well.... update and it still was doing that.

    The first few times i logged into my server after about 3 minutes i got a HUGE crash message but strangly it wasnt about the server( the server didnt crash) somehow my minecraft client crashed. I am no coder but when i looked for anything that could help me figure out what went wrong i saw that it was saying something about the entities in the world(s) and gave a sort of list.

    Anyone have the same issues or have a fix :)??

    Did you copy your worlds to another folder while people were online or mid save?

    I had the the same issue just recopied the worlds again with no one online and the server shut down

    you cannot force the texture pack.. you can only "recommend" it sadly. they can easily not use it by changing there options settings.

    there needs to be a way to FORCE them to download and use it when connecting. but i dont think this will happen as it could probably be abused.

    I use mineBackup which saves my worlds to a different folder every 15 minutes.... the folder has mysteriously disappeared (figures) LOL.... so your saying if i had an older version of the world to replace it with the corrupted one and it should not be corrupted ?

    WAIT A MINUTE lolol i just had an awesome idea to save everyones work/progress on that world.... Couldnt i replace the corrupted map with an older version... but then use a block logging plugin like what i have is CoreProtect... and restore the builds?
