That looks really promising. If you need a tester that has Java and PHP knowledge, I'd be glad to help!

    Best regards,

I'll pm you soon, when I'm back from school. I'd be happy to start a team, however I still need to find out your past experience and your current knowledge.

    Wait for the pm :)

When will you have a working build?

Well, I have a 'working' build, just not a build that does everything I need it to. Its actually funny you should ask, I may actually be going into hospital tomorrow to have a major operation. Im hoping it does not get to that, but if it does... it will definitely set me back about a week. However if all goes to 'plan' I should have a build ready to make a short preview video of next month.

Because this software will not be available for just anybody (well, thats what we plan on doing), anybody who does want to use the software for 'free' or before its released, will need to become part of the team, as this particular version of the software will only be available for Minecraft/Bukkit server providers.

I am unsure how that plan will really work out, and ill probably end up making it free for anybody to use for their own server, however because of how the software is made, allot of it is Javascript, and anybody who has access to the main control panel could (if they really wished) copy and re-use for them-self. Ill have to figure it out later, at the moment I just need to get it made up :p

Sorry if this did not help answer your initial question...

Will there be an API for plugins to use? I would love a nice web GUI to configure and manage my plugin, BattleNight.

    Jacob Marshall

Definitely, plugins will be able to have their own GUI within the browser, however this feature will not be available initially.

So the web app will be free for plugin developers to test on?

    Jacob Marshall

Im sure there will be, however all of this is just planning at the moment. Most likely we will have an online workspace for developers to use free of charge to test their code.

Well the development is still a long way away from completion. Also, we're looking for more Java developers to give a helping hand.

Ok, is there there a GitHub repository or something which I can make pull requests on?

    Jacob Marshall

No, because this project is not open-source (yet, quite possibility that may change)... so all code is hosted via svn (securely) on a private server.

However If you're interested in the java developer position, please contact me.

Sorry, but I'm finally getting a dedicated unmanaged this week :)
Im just curious when this could be released (or tested by me :p) because the other control panels cost extra bucks which will be spent on the 59$ server!
Yeah and I would like to use a control panel because I'm a noob at ssh :p

Also, are you planning on getting info on the players like:
Username | Last joined | First joined | IP (important :p)

Im glad you're interested, however at the current time the development is on hold... for us to continue we need to get a java developer for the development on the server wrapper. So, for you to be able to test it would be crazy this early on... basically just plans and designs + minimal code has been written towards the actual functionality of the server wrapper.

I got SOME functionality with the server wrapper, but havent had any luck being able to 'inject' the server (as of yet).

Also, yes, there will be as much information as available within minecraft available within Melooon.

How about using the rcon and query built into the Minecraft server?

That's basically all new to me, I would love to be able to understand how to use the resources available in the minecraft server but, I'm not sure how to.

I've worked with this kind of things before. I'm not a "real" Java developer, I mostly work with C#, C++ and PHP. But I've made a few simple plugins for personal use before. One of them was a plugin for controlling the inbuilt white list and sending console commands via a web interface. I've also worked with RemoteToolkit through JSONAPI (which also works with PHP) and I'm using it on my own server (with node.js) right now.
I'm not really active on the forums but I'm really looking forward to this and I'd love to help any way I can.

We're going to be creating our own 'JSONAPI' alternative, you think that you'd be able to work on that?

I can't make a server wrapper like RemoteToolkit (i think), but I can make an 'API' for Melooon.

I think we really need a server wrapper developed before we can go forward... If anybody sees this post, and can help, please PM me... Cheers :)
