[RPG/FUN] Guilds v2.2.4 - Customisable Guilds / Factions / Clans with special abilities [1.4.7-R0.1]

    I think this sounds awesome! but i have a few questions:
    1. is it compatible with factions and mcmmo?
    2. Can you give permissions to join a guild like for example guilds.join.archer or guilds.join.tank?
    3.What is the known falldamage bug?
    4.Could you add a tutorial video to it too?
    5. could you add levels? so the levels could changed in the config to diffrent max lvls and how to get lvls and what you get for a levelup
    And i heardyou would be adding a lot of new features, like diffrent bases and such. i think that would collide with alot of plugins on my server too, so if you would add some disable parts in the config to it would be nice :)

    3. I've been using the falldamage trait and I haven't noticed any bugs.
    4 and 5 would be cool to see.

    Ok i dont mean to bother you, but here are some follow up questions. (More like suggestions)
    1. Give permissions to different guilds, witch can be edited in the config
    2. add economy support
    3. and please add my server to the guilds server list the ip is: 31.45.120.82 (It's currently beeing worked on, it will be up by tomorrow)

    Amazing plugin. Everyone on my server loves it!
    Only problems I've noticed with it is that /f chat and /mute don't work.
    I'm looking forward to future updates! ;)

    how do I fix this problem where I'll edit the config file, then when the server loads up, it resets to the way it was before it was edited?

    When the server is loaded, don't use /reload, instead use /guilds load. This will load what you have configured in your file. But if you have prefixes on, it will duplicate the prefix, just ignore it. a simple /reload will fix it. Or you could edit your config while the server is offline.

    thanks, now I have a new problem though...
    if I set the melee/archer damage to anything below 100, it makes it deal no damage..?

    and I am unsure as to whether this plugin or not is causing it, but me and other people, even if not in a guild, regenerate HP when they get hit and don't regen HP when their hunger bar is full
    plus, their hunger bar never goes down

    Well i've been testing this plugin and it seems like the HP regen is caused by this plugin and this plugin alone. It seems like there are alot of bugs and i would highly recommend using the previous version 1.3.0. It has a lot less features such as setting tick damage, abilities ect but it works perfectly. Besides the part where if you are not in a guild it goes null<player>null. Besides that its all good (You can fix Null/Null by turning off Prefixes but than there will be no Prefixes.....) In 1.3.0 The damage system works, so just use that one. It should be on the BukkitDev page on previous versions on AVOCARDO page.

    Woops this was a line of code I put in when for testing purposes. I will remove this and upload new version this evening.

    The onEntityDamage algorithm for this plugin is immensely complex :(

    thank you both for your quick replies, and thank you avocardo for fixing this minor bug with your amazing plugin
    however, any insight as to my issue about damage being 0 if melee/archer damage is set to anything below 100? above 100, though, the multipliers work

    and yet another issue, I believe this is caused by this plugin, but randomly creative mode's fly will work in both creative and survival mode, seemingly in survival only if the guild the player is in has the flight ability enabled (which I would think is a bug considering shift flying), but this is a major issue as it will also become randomly disabled in creative mode which requires a relog to fix

    I'm sorry to say that it would seem as though the update you released has not fixed the hp regeneration bug...
    is it because you forgot to update the download link? while the topic says 2.0.1, the file it links to still says 2.0.0 and it was updated a day ago...

    Is anyone else having major issues with the plugin? Like abilities not working at all? or working oppositely of what they should be doing? And chat prefixes not working I.e. saying the prefix 3 times in a row?

    the prefix bug you are having can be fixed by a simple /reload, the rest I'm not sure

    well now that the HP bug is out of the way and you are looking at my other reports, I have a few suggestions...
    - ability to capture land
    - ability to set multiple biomes for one guild to gain their abilities
    - swim speed/land speed trait
    - set how fast sunlight/moonlight/landdamage/waterdamage/storm drains HP
    - ability to set each individual group's abilities' stats (ex: have one group with a higher jumpheight multiplier than another with the same ability)
    - trait that changes how effective potions are (assuming "magic" isn't that and affects how much damaging potions affect YOU, like I think it is)
    - ability to gain levels in your guild which increase the bonuses you recieve from your guild, and a system where perhaps your prefix/suffix could change when you reach a certain level

    and another bug report:
    - if you change your guild while under the effects of sunlight/moonlight/landdamage/waterdamage/storm hp drain, it will never stop until you are dead or the server is reloaded
    - landdamage seems to damage the player no matter where they are, even if they are underwater
    - WHEN recoverhealth IS ON: food bar is innacurate and often less than what it states, I think this is related to golden apples
    - WHEN recoverhealth IS OFF: nothing regenerates your health

    a question:
    - what exactly does the food trait do?
    - what exactly does the contact trait do?

    and I had a thought, my server has MCMMO installed, is that possibly what's causing melee/archer less than 100 dealing no damage?

    That is the point of recoverheath... Off means no heath genens even from food. Contact is from cactus food changes thechance of food dropping ie if 200 then 1 in 2 chance of foodbar going down. I shoukd imagine mcmmo is cancelling event and doing it on its own.

    I am going to release part of the code for users to scrutinise and find errors to help speed the process of debugging up. I did test plugin but missed a lot obviously.

    Avo, I would just like to say that your plugin is awesome, even with the bugs. If you would be so kind as to add my server to the list of "known guilds servers" I would greatly appreciate it IP: 176.31.133.168 Keep up the good work, we are still running the older version, but I really look forward to updating as soon as I see a few less bug reports :D

    what happens if you set food to less than 100 then?
    also, I know absolutely nothing about java coding and thus wouldn't be able to help after you release the code, sorry about that
    and I can almost 100% confirm that mcmmo is NOT the cause of my little melee/archer bug, I tried disabling it and then attacking something with it less than 100 and it still dealt no damage

    well ive stopped all other plugins cancelling onEntityDamage so you should find no more problems with 2.0.2

    hmm, well the problem is KINDA fixed
    from my experiences setting it to less than 100 no longer deals no damage at all, but rather normal damage

    It rounds the damage health is only out of 20 so if you set melee to 75 and you norm deal 1 damage then you are still only going to deal one damage. However if you deal 10 normally you will now only deal 8.

    OHHHHH, so I see
    one last report about this damage bug then, and we'll be all set:
    - damage dealt when the trait is set to 0, rather than being 0, is the minimum damage allowed

    AVOCARDO Yea um is there anyway so i can disable the part where it "Forces" someone to join a guild when they first join this is really agravating =(
