I figured out the problem, the problem was he hadn't claimed every bit of the redstone. So unclaimed, and claimed redstone didn't communicate together.

Thanks for the great plugin, and for the help,

:O Are you sure it's not piston/switch/lever/pressure plate-related problem? I mean, I tested it on my server, via making redstone line from one area, through unclaimed ground, to the other area (and powering it)... and it turned out that outside- and inside-area redstone communicate normally (as they should).
Sorry for curiosity, I just want make sure if it's only the effect of a specific situation and there is no bug - or should I search how to fix it.

No problem :) I'm here to help AreaGuard users.
    Greetings, Fifi :)

Hey Fifi, I have one question for you. When you say you can Add Guests what does that entail? Does that mean that you can add other users who can work on your protected area? And if not, is there any way you can add that?

    Thanks,
    TheCreativeBird

    Fifi

Yes, that is what guests are for.

Guests can build/destroy blocks and kill/shear/breed/tame/milk/ride passive mobs in the area.
    You can add guests via /ag addguest area_name guest1 guest2 guest3 ... and remove them by /ag delguest guest1 guest2 guest3 .... Guest list is avaiable under /ag guests area_name command.

The difference beetween owner and guest is that guest can not add/remove guests, gift area to someone else, resize or remove it.

    Greetings, Fifi :)

    How do they Earn Tokerns?

  7. Offline

    Fifi

They earn tokens, in cost of experience points, by /ag gather (to earn amount of tokens necessary for selected area) or /ag earn tokens_amount command.
They can also get tokens from other player (/ag give) or got donation from server operator (/ag donate).

Next release will include economy plugins support via Valut.

    Announcement:

I postponed API to AreaGuard 2.3 release, because I wasn't sure how it should finally look like (cause I want to make it perfect, as everything) and it was blocking AreaGuard 2.2 release.
Thanks to this, I can now focus directly on adding Valut money and permissions support.

This doesn't use Vault? Or perhaps an economy plugin such as iConomy?

  10. Offline

    Fifi

Not yet. I'm currently working on making Valut an option (if somebody wants to use any economy plugin, he can just use Valut as a wrapper). By default this plugin uses experience, which can be spend on buying tokens (protecting one block costs one token). From next release (AreaGuard 2.2) admins will be able to choose whether to use built-in experience-based payment or economy plugin via Valut.

Hello, great plugin, but I would like to know how I can allow someone to use the Player commands but not the operator ones?

  12. Offline

    Fifi

    Thanks.
It's already done. AreaGuard checks for being server operator (I mean administrator, via /op somebody command), and only operators can use operators commands (while player commands is avaiable for everyone).

Most of my players have already built houses ect.

Can I as ops give people enough tokens to protect the ereas that they already have ?

Can i set the system so that new members get a set amount of tokens to start with
    EG: start with 100 tokens.

All the best J & Robin

Yes, via /ag donate player amount.
Currently no, I'll add this in next update (probably in a few days, I have one other thing to add also :)).

Thanks I will wait intill the weekend then befor I start to use and test this.

Iam using 1.2.5 R1 is that ok or must I have R2 ?

To be honest - It should work, the only possible problem is with using Fire Charge to ignite things (the FIREBALL IgniteCause was added in R2, so in R1 AreaGuard will spam that I'm calling to unknown enum value and using Fire Charge as Flint and Steel will not work).
But this will be visible only when somebody will try to right-click block with Fire Charge.

Hi, would be nice if some could make a video. :)

( Note about spawn protection in lastest CraftBukkit, which omits protection plugins settings )

    settings:
    spawn-radius: 0

Is this a must do,,,,,,, or Optional ? :'(

    All the best J & A

I'm shy and I'm not sure if I speak English correct enough, but maybe I'll try to record a presentation/tutorial video in near future. :) Also, Unscrewed told me, that he can make a video. :) (but I didn't talked with since then, so I don't know if he made it or not)
It's optional. :) New CraftBukkit automatically protects spawn from any actions, even if they are allowed by protection plugins, so if you want to allow somebody to build near spawn, you have to disable it, because otherwise CraftBukkit will block building no matter what you set in AreaGuard options. :(

    Greetings, Fifi. :)

I am getting the message "Vault Economy transaction failed. Reason: Cannot deposit negative funds!" when I use the "/ag earn" command. in the config, I have it so that you can buy tokens with vault money.
Are you sure you have vault set up right?

It's strange. It worked properly during tests. Could you provide your config file? Maybe you haven't set values or something.

Thanks for this awsome and simple to use plugin! : D But one thing that could be nice, is to have the option to make the protected area visible somehow. I'm thinking about making a visible grid around the are you either have protected, or the selected one. It's sometimes hard to remember where the protected area starts and ends, so it would be extremely handy to have a command to see visually where the protection cuboid is ^^

Just thought I'd throw that out there, keep up the good work!
