I have my permissions and plugins set up in a way where my name is [Empress] ripplechip, and the beginners are [Outsider] playername. Don't ask my server has empires. I want to edit the permissions a bit for the mods, and whenever I change one tiny thing the permissions file (I use group manager) all of those prefixes go away and it changes to something like, apprentice miner ripplechip. Also, when I rank the players up from Outsider to recognized, to citizen, etc, when they log back in...they are back to outsider. Thoughts?

  2. Try going to the essentials help chat. Other then that, I have the same kind of problem when I try to edit my Group manager files. It's not fun, I can not even get a group made without anything going wrong. So I just had an experienced user help me out and I was fine. I suggest that you do the same.

Do you do this while the server is running?

Hmm I thought it might of been getting over written if the server was running.

Maybe you're making a mistake somewhere so it deletes what you add?

I'm not editing prefixes, I'm editing just permissions, and it takes away my prefixes.

I would imagine you are doing something wrong if it deletes them. I would ask in groupmanager board. I am more familiar with bPermissions.

I'm doing them the same way I've done them in the past, it works fine...I think it's a chat plugin issue...do herochat and essentials chat interfere?

Upload your entire permissions YML file to pastebin.com, post a link here.
Once you've got a link to your permissions file, tag "codename_B" in your post, he is the author of bPermissions and may be able to help you out.

You should try using commands to add nodes to groups, do this:
    Code:
    /group GROUP-TO-EDIT
    /group addperm node.goes.here

    See here: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/bpermissions/pages/bpermissions-command-list/

Then please upload your permissions YML for groupmanager.
